Why don't we have a sequel yet?

I would like a sequel to the original Final Fantasy: Tactics. None of this Tactics Advance crap. And not a remake, either.

The original game was long, and with an awesome plotline. Seeing it in NextGen would make me very happy.

That said, I'd also like to see a Xenogears sequel (Xenosaga had nothing in the world to do with gears.)

A sequel to Viva Pinata. How a bunch of random Pinata farm murders spread to Pinata island, where things have begun to go horribly wrong.

(SPOILER: SEEDOS gets killed in a gruesome manner, as well as those damned Fizzlybears.)
Funnily enough, they have a movie about a killer pinata.
Isn't called Pinata Island or somthing? I really need to see it!

1) Shenmue 3. I'm gunna buy Shenmue 2 for the xbox once I really start hearing about a sequel. It has interested me since one of Yahtzee's references.
2) PSO GCN game sequel. Phantasy Star Universe was...meh. 6/10 maybe?
3) a sequel to Super mario rpg:lotss. Paper mario is nice and all but you know...
I'm so with you on one and two.

You may not want to wait until you hear about Shenmue 3 before you buy Shenmue 2--the probability of a sequel seems unlikely and there's no sense in missing out on an incredible game even though the story doesn't have a conclusion.

And a proper PSO sequel would be wonderful except that I'd fail all my classes.

Panita: Survival Island. B-movies at their finest.

Freelancer NEEDS a sequel. Not that the plot wasn't tidied up nicely, it's just that it was such a fantastic game and such a well designed world that they should do it again... But the problem is that because it is a Microsoft game, It will never see the light of release on the PS3... And that is just wrong...

It's just logical to think that all the best games out there should be published on the best Console out there...

We really need to have a Homeworld 3. If it doesn't come out by 2010, we will all lose hope forever.

We need a sequel to Commander Keen. Not the Game Boy crap. A real, actual sequel. That series deserves one.

You know what we really really really really really need? A sequel to Gunstar Heroes. And Alien Soldier. And Dynamite Headdy. Or any other old Treasure platform game. Fuck the new generation! Let's go back to the retro!!!

Okay Capcom, where's my Viewtiful Joe 3? The second game's cliffhanger ending made it painfully obvious the series would be a trilogy, but there isn't even a hint that a third game is in the works now. I refuse to be satisfied with uninspired VJ spin-offs like Red Hot Rumble. I want a balls-to-the-wall 2D side scrolling beat-em-up, complete with VFX powers, lots of robots and monsters to pummel, and the trademark "so lame it's awesome" storyline and humor. I've gone far too long without getting my Henshin a go-go on!

Gunstar Heroes and Alien Soldier were both capital 'F' Fantastic! I'm going to have to drag them out now.

I wish they had finished Ultima Online 2.

Also, it might be interesting to see another game after Outpost II.

A PROPER sequel to PSO would be nice, hopefully it'll be on the supposed "Dreamcast 2" >.>
Deus Ex 3 is being made, but I dunno. 1 was AMAZING, 2 sucked hardcore.
Gunstar heroes, of course.
Disciples 3 might be nice, same with a sequel to Nox
But in truth, there's one series sacred to me that I want to see a PROPER sequel to:
Make a GOOD Front Mission sequel:
-NOT on phones (Front MIssion 2089)
-NOT in 3d (FM 3, 4, and 5)
-and have a NEW Storyline (the DS one was AWESOME, but treading familiar ground)
That's my main hope. My other ones would be for a proper sequel to HoMM (Heroes of Might and Magic, but they've run that to the ground),a Valkyrie Profile sequel (In the works for the DS :)), a GOOD Kirby sequel (like All-stars, not like the crap nowadays), and the simple localization of Mother 3 (Most likely I'll be able to read it in Japanese before that happens <.<)

How about a modern sequel to Elite that doesn't sacrifice fun for quantum-realism?

Actually, scratch that. I'd be happier than a fat-kid with a super-sized big-mac combo to play ANY space-trading game that features a) faster than light travel, b) entertaining space-battles, and c) the ability to use gravity to slingshot oneself around mercury directly into the sun.

I'd like to see a sequel to Grim Fandango, and of course another Monkey Island game.

Gunstar Heroes did get a sequel/remake in Gunstar Super Heroes on the GBA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunstar_Super_Heroes

I'd love to see a sequel to Body Harvest. That was one of my favourite games on the N64 and it was made by Rockstar North (Known as DMA Design at the time).

Imagine a new Body Harvest powered by the RAGE engine.
