If you have a high enough Intelligence and/or Science skill during the Operation Anchorage simulation in Fallout 3, your character questions the simulation in front of his squadmate.

Haha, because once the AI got that it was all a game, It would refuse to do anything anymore.

I'd imagine it would be really expensive and difficult to that. What would happen if there was lag of any kind?

I assume you mean the millionaire fantasy game island - well, in the future I'm sure we will all have preposterously fast connections and have some sort of mystical system which never fails in place.

Lets call it Magic.

Now with Magic I'm sure this is possible.

I love it when games break the fourth wall...at least, when its done sparingly.

I remember when in No More Heroes it was hilarious. Especially when it made reference that I knew only game nerds would get, it was just such a great moment.
Heh, he was with you for the whole thing pretty much, that game had no fourth wall whatsoever. They even taunted you by talking about the sequel with the end boss, and saying there wouldn't be one at the end (which was an outright lie).

There is a funny bit at the beginning of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory where Sam asks how many alarms he can set off before the it's is over and then Lambert says it's not a video game, sort of a 4th wall reversal.
