Bare with me

Hokay so i have an old AMD Sempron with Vista and i'm trying to clear space on it so i can sell it on to some idiot for around 60 quid, ten quid profit.
Anyway last night i spent the whole time clearing off random programs from the hardrive... After clearing off about 10gb worth i think to myself "Wait a minute... I've cleared 10gb... where is all the rest of this damn memory coming from?"
I go to Program files and i see that there is still a file with that specific program still in there... I make sure that i have uninstalled it and to my knowledge it should be gone.
So now i go to that file and press the delete key, continue with this operation and it comes up saying "You do not have the permission to delete this file" Funny, i'm the admin :S
So i go to properties etc and try to fix it... still it comes up saying i am not the admin -.-

So i scratch that and start deleting random files off this computer that i don't need... Videos etc etc.
So now i'm at 25gb out of 80gb space.
My antivirus then plays up and says it cannot start and is starting to turn off the computer whenever it feels like it -.-
So i disable the internet, stop all services for the file and try to uninstall it.
Ironically it doesn't let me uninstall the program because it doesn't want to go -.-

So this is why i hate Pcs but love Macs.

Macs delete stuff when they have to be deleted, they install stuff easily and uninstall stuff just as easy.
You drag something to the bin and it goes.
You get an error message and that program will never bother you again.
You log on quickly
You log off quickly.

Pcs GDIAF!

Edit:

Any ideas on how to fix this would be nice.
Any ideas on why stuff is doing this would be nice.

That's it? That's your argument? You didn't even desperately throw the feeble "compare OS with Windows - enough said" line that most use for the base of their case.

EDIT: You've edited your post now so fair enough. But yeah, use a Mac if you can't use a PC.

Erm no...
The reason i wrote that is because i clicked Enter too early and there was (no text)
Hence why i asked people to bare with me while i start a decent arguement

Well this seemed to be more of a random argument you wanted to tell someone. Though yes I have to agree with you, PC's do have cockups from time to time but doesn't PC stand for "Personal Computer". Shouldn't this be why you hate windows OS's.

First of all, the Mac does things like the rest of the *nix like systems and doesn't actually lock the files. This makes update process' faster but can lead to other issues (not really a problem to be honest and I still don't know why MS hasn't changed their style). This means you can uninstall a program but it will still be in memory, you have to kill the program, then uninstall it to be sure (even this can be problematic with some programs which activly work to prevent deinstallation).

Fixing this includes things like booting to safe mode.

And if you love Mac's for this you've obviously never had to deal with files being unremovable from the desktop or corrupted permissions.

Wait. DAMNIT. I finished work for the day.

So...You don't really know a lot about PCs, you don't even seem to know what's holding the other 55 Gbs of space in your harddrive, using the worst Windows out right now, so you started deleting random crap and now things aren't working.

...Yep, PCs are shit like that.

Why don't you just format the HDD and re-install Vista?

I know what you mean about the locked files though. I tried to move something into programme files but vista wouldn't let me even though I had turned off User Account Control! WTF!!!

This. The term "user error" comes to mind.
