That's the only epic I know. ;-)You want it all, but you can't have it.
It's in your face, but you can't grab it.
What is it?
It's it.

Is it me, or does anyone else hate those owls? (First person to retaliate with a picture of one will get my boot so far up there...)
I do and I dont use epicAlex_P said:It seems like "epic" is just going the way of "awesome." I don't think anyone under 30 uses "awesome" only to describe breath-taking, awe-inspiring wonderment.
Quite true, actually. Its not often I agree with your points, JJ, but this is certainly something I concur with. People copying other people does not necessarily make it equally hilarious (if anything, the opposite occurs) when they say it. It is a shame that the people copying others are trying to hard to step back and notice this to begin with.Johnn Johnston said:I cannot stand people that say "Oh, Epic Win, right? Uhuhuhuhuh" to try to be funny. It's not funny. It's using something out of context, and you have never said it before. You only say it because you have heard other people say it, and found it funny. Acting like other people does not automatically make you a great comedian, it just makes you irritating.
A minor rant, but a good rant in my opinion.
Hrrrm...mini epic rant.wilsonscrazybed said:It's a WoW term turned meme that leaked over to the 4chan forums.
And here I dispute; I have heard the 'epic' usage from a friend of mine who is as un-nerdly as one can get and still know the basic premise of a videogame.Johnn Johnston said:People use Epic as "a secret handshake for nerds", as ReepNeep said. I heard somebody say "Epic Fail" the other day and I knew at once that he was a fellow nerd.
Pawned seriously! that just grates my nervesTheKbob said:I use Epic, it's just an internet thing. The only thing I hate is people pronouncing "Pwned" and "Powned" or "Pawned". It's owned, people... no "Puh"-P sound.
Little kids saying it is just ... eh. The word is pretty much tarnished![]()
