Oh yeah and nothing up there suggests you are welcome to ask for more...cimil said:Great, 2 examples, I'm overwhelmedSaintMorose said:yep Liberal bias...cimil said:Oh God! A crazy republican?!!? The only way to solve this is to call in all those fucking crack-pot liberals...
He's still on the air becuase he provides several valid points, is entertaining (well, until he gets a little too into his "the world will end tomorrow!!!" stuff), and people like to listen to him.
I'm not a huge fan by any means (more of a Medved/Limbaugh guy), but he has a right to say what he wants. And, frankly, in this time when 95% of the news/media is biased towards the liberal side, it seems pathetic to whine about one of the republicans out there.
In 2003 over 70% of Americans believed in a link between Iraq and 9/11
4/10 Americans still think Hussein caused 9/11
This is a liberal bias???
Recently the Health care bill was criticized for "Death Panels" the section this referred to was removed from the bill.
This is a liberal bias???
Please Ask for more examples I've got a good list by this point those are just the 2 easiest to relate to.
It like Colbert says "Reality has a liberal bias" and conservatives love to be the victims when the facts don't back them up.
xD oh no Rush got miss-quoted once?cimil said:Anyone else remember when the media had a feild day with Limbaugh over the st. louis rams? Over a quote someone fabricated and put on wikipedia?
want me to pull up the 50 other quotes that black players and their supporters don't like him for?
It isn't one isolated incident that caused this spark, it's years of perceived hate-mongering and intolerance against a community.
Really... McCain's team tried to cancel the vice-presidential debate for a reason.cimil said:Or lets watch the Katie Couric interviews with Sarah Palin and Barrack Obama, and see the complete difference in the questions and attitude.
She struggles hard, doesn't portray any sense of confidence in her answers, and repeats talking points when they have little or nothing to do with the question. Watch all of her interviews and see how often she repeats herself on unrelated questions.
She has no interest in serving her country she left a position where she could make an impact in order to do book tours / speaking tours / a reality show that's where the money is. nd then calls out Obama as a celebrity president (Not that I'm a fan of Obama)
Please looks at what she has done, looks at her endorsements of people like Miller (who doesn't understand States rights and allow being against frivolous lawsuits decides to spend a ton of government money in a case he can't possibly win). Don't bring her up if you want people to take you seriously.
NPR is a fairly stupid and irrelevant group/station. They have put out bans on all employees from attending any political rallies (recently the sanity rally for being seen as too "liberal") and ending up making the bad decision for firing him over speaking his mind (which was viewed by some to be racist and by a small group to be conservative.) I don't agree with it but it's consistent with their policy and not a decision that is either liberal or conservative. If you really want to view it as partisan ignorance all the power to you but check out the other side of what they've done.cimil said:What happened to Juan Williams? Got fired becuase he said something republican?
Nearly the same amount of time given to the guy going after Soro's fueled by Beck funny enoughcimil said:How about that leftist green freak who held discovery hostage. We didn't hear shit about that, odd. Probably not becuase it reflects poorly on the libs
Bush daughter's never got that kind of criticism either. Problem is when you go out and say things like abstinence-only works and we shouldn't teach kids how to have safe sex, despite the fact it didn't even work in your own family that is up for criticism.cimil said:Anyone else find it funny that Palin's daughter is wide open for criticism, but when anyone said one thing about the Clinton's kids, we heard "It's not fair to talk about them. They're not the politicians?"
If your adult daughter starts making political ads then yes we can bring her into the discussion.
If you hold up your family in front of everyone as prove of your philosophy then say we can't challenge them it's a cowardly one-sided argument. It's disappointing that kids got brought into it; but who's the one one stage with their kids screaming family values as one of their key points.
I didn't bring them up I've never said I've agreed with them on anything; nor did I bring up anything Savage or Ann Coultre spews or other conservative commentators. You brought up Rush.cimil said:And don't get me fucking started on people like Michael Moore, Oliver Stone, or Al Gore...
