John Stewart did a great parody of him yesterday.
I saw that, its always funny when Stewart rips on Beck like that.

Statistics indicate that approximately 25% of Americans are afflicted to some level with a mental handicap, Fox's viewer base is approximately 25% of the total population of America.

Okay, I'm going to come out and say it. What are you all accomplishing here? If you all claim that Glenn Beck is so evil, and all he does is slander people, why do you all come here on the internet and say things like this?

Does it make you any better? Does it make you all feel good? You're just stooping to the level you claim he's at.

Oh, and by the way, I'm Republican, proud to be it. I watch Fox news and agree with them. And look! I'm not mentally handicapped! It's it a miracle! Because, according to alot of you, all us "Hicks" and "Red-neck, right-wing nutjobs" are mentally retarded. So have fun with your flame wars and typed, worded assault on peoples' character.

The Young Turks, who are heavily in the tank for Obama and were sponsored by the now defunct Air America. They're ambush journalists and mudslingers. Moving on...

You criticize Cimil for pointing out that a good portion of the media is leftist. For which you offer two unsubstantiated statistics. A criticism of a completely valid point of Obamacare. (Which was rammed through congress in defiance of the will of the people.) And then you quote Stephen Colbert, who only actually was invited to speak before a congressional committee and proceeded to make a mockery of our government by doing his "act" under oath.
I think you have me confused with someone else?

But to address some things
TYT - Thinks Obama is pro-establishment, thinks Obama has abanddon his progress base, has no interest in changing the system only covering over it. Not heavily in his tank since the set backs on git-mo. Ambush interviews? They have people agree to be on their show they don't run them down.

"a good portion" = 95%
c'mon you can do a lot better than that. Here's a good tactic if you or your side said something crazy earlier just remember it differently so you don't have to apologize.

"Obamacare" wasn't mentioned once but hey don't let that stop you from bringing it up.
Also don't let every poll that said Americans wanted Health care reform (The Public Option scored between 52-80% favor by all Americans and funny enough the 80% came from a conservative poll)

Your right on the current health care bill Americans mostly didn't want it only (33% of Americans in favor) though keeping mind another 35% didn't like it because it didn't go far enough...

Stephen Colbert is a comedian I referenced a joke don't take it too seriously

He makes a crapload of money selling fear to people who are too stupid to understand what the world Socialism really means, more or less the base of the Republican Party (what I call the stupid wing) since Reagan started courting disgruntled lower middle class whites like the douchebags who founded ROAR (Restore Our Alienated Rights) in the 1970s.

From what I've watched of Beck he essentially takes undeniable truths, such as the vast majority of Americans don?t neatly fit as Democrats or Republicans, and then spins it in a manner to prove, in this case that Atheists are given too much attention by the media.

I don't want to get too much into my political views in this thread but I will say that before 2008 I considered myself to be neutral, i.e. whether I voted Democrat or Republican depended on the candidate usually but after the last campaign I've more or less decided to never consider voting Republican again.

I remember reading somewhere that 25% of Americans still disapprove of inter-racial marriage and which brings up your point.

Another example of what I stated above. But at least this guy went into depth instead of just straight slander.

Why do people flip their shit when somebody voices their opinion? I thought that was... oh what was it... oh yeah the First Amendment. Listen to NPR, watch CNN or MSNBC, news stations like that also voice their opinions for the left (heck I listen to NPR more than Fox News). But Lord knows the one station that voices opinions for the right is evil. That's right, I don't agree with Obama's policies... oops, I must be racist.

..well.. Fury.. if I had opinions like Glenn Beck's - I would probably be a racist, a facist, crazy, have both an emotional scar on the brain and some physical damage as well. And if I spoke the way Beck does in public, I would have had my face punched in every other day until I was put in solitary confinement for my own and others' protection - with padding in the ceiling, and soundproof glass in the door.

Because no one around me would excuse my insanity just because I would implore them to agree that everything I said was - in spite of appearances - the most beautiful poetry and intelligent soliloquies heard spoken to human ears.. No matter how naive and innocent my eyes would occasionally look - that wouldn't work.

---

Disclaimer: but by no means let this message be read as an attack on Glenn Beck's character. I am simply voicing my opinion, and explaining it as I see it - which incidentally is a service I bestow on humankind out of my sheer grandiose well will and selflessness. Whether it also happens to imply directly certain things about Glenn Beck's mental health, so softly and subtle that even a republican will pick up on it with ease - it is simply up to the reader to decide for themselves what my opinion is worth, and if they would like to bask in the schadenfreude with me for a little bit.

He claims that he is a prophet.
I'd like some quotes on this. I mean, that could be really funny if it's true.

AcacianLeaves said:
True enough, except for when the fear and hate that he and his network spew incite people to violence.
And videogames make me murder people all the time.
There's a difference between creating a fictional world where violence exists and telling people that they should be afraid of real people/cultures and be ready to defend their beliefs with real guns from some threat that's been manufactured to sell books and increase ratings.

Just illustraing a statistical correlation, which are likely not even remotely related. You know, the kind of stuff Beck likes to do.

How can this lunatic still be on Fox? I would assume that even they have limits. He is going after every person like a rabid animal. Not to mention that he must be mentally handicapped (although that might insult the mentally handicapped). He insults Jews, Liberals, anybody that is rich, and claims that he is a prophet. He held a rally on the same day as the "I Have a Dream", speech and says that it was just as important as the famous civil rights activist himself. He thinks that the rally brought the next George Washington to the world.

I don't hate or despise Fox, just that insane man. Fox itself doesn't bother me very much.

How is this delusion of grandeur possible? Do any of you share my feelings?

Any solutions to fix this man, if possible?
So you want to demean and silence a man who has a different opinion than you? Hell yeah! that's the American way!
^this i like glen beck he makes me laugh :p and he makes people that do not like what he says heads explode that makes me laugh more. guy is a commentator not a news guy, he has a commentary show, and many things he says rather tongue and cheek or all out satire, mean i never heard him bash gay or jews or whatever granted i not watched his show in a long time, but it just does not sound like something he would say period, lest not seriously.

guy is a libertarian and he sure did not get a whole hell of alot of omg this guy is evil stuff when he was bashing the hell out of bush. but when he starts on on the dems then omg look out he is off his rocker.
I am glad someone else picked up on this. Glenn Beck only exists to give social commentary and nothing more. He does not give news in the sense that many of use think of, but rather he gives his opinion on current events. Seriously... Some people take him way too seriously. I applaud him for not being politically correct and saying whatever the hell he feels like. I don't always agree with him, but at least he's not afraid to say something.

even though he is batshit insane and spreads only fear and hate, you have to admit, he has style. and that makes him fun to watch as long as you shut down your brain for a bit. kind of like m. bison. (no, i am not mentioning that other famous historical guy who was batshit insane, spread only fear and hate, but had style, because that would be unwise)
