Whatever made the person who he or she was, is gone forever. Killing the animated physical remains does not liberate the soul or anything...so what exactly is the favor here? "Putting them out of their misery"? They have no conception of their own misery....no feelings/ emotions about it. No, I mean more like putting their remains to rest. I wouldn't want my animated body roaming around eating people's brains. I don't expect many people would.
