WHY IS MVC3 BEING SO STUPID?!

Well, I've been doing some research and found that the following characters will not be in MvC3

Spoiler: The replacements, the missing, and the add ons

Black Heart, Venom, Strider Hiryu, Thanos, War Machine, Mephisto, Cyclops, Gambit, Juggernaut, Captain Commando, Jin, Anakaris, Mega Man, Dhalsim, Ken, Zangief, Hayato

and I the only one ticked off about this?

Megaman was replaced with Zero, instead of having both

Strider apparently "didn't fit in"

And zengief was REPLACED by Mike Hagger... I could have sworn that people wanted to see the two fight?

but hey, we're given Dead Pool (who?) and the dog from Okami... as if they can replace Black Heart, Strider, Venom, Megaman, etc.

oh and Shumo-Gorath is a DLC

and they did take out Iceman, so at least we're not broken anymore... however Dante is worrying me.

So what's your opinion on all this?

EDIT: I know who Dead Pool is, I'm just wondering why they took such a random unknown character... maybe because he was the closest thing to Dante marvel had (other than Punisher)

EDIT2: all the flaming about the Okami dog wolf, and Dead Pool (just because I didn't hear about him) isn't helping disprove my theory that a majority of their (rather obsessive) fans are douchebags about it

seriously, almost every other post is yelling at me about Dead Pool or the Wolf Goddess. Knock it off You're better than that! (at least I hope you are)

dead pool is a marvel character and is a very funny choice

I hear they might bring back some of the more popular MvC2 characters as possible DLC. But nothing has been confirmed.

I'm also a bit bummed that some characters wont return, but I perfectly fine with the new roster.

My only issues are that Ken isn't in it, She hulk IS in it (theres plenty better female Marvel chracters to choose from) and that Sentinal look smighty overpowered... And Amaterasu being in it is awesome, same goes for Zero.

I've never heard of half the people you listed.
Then again, I've never heard of half the people put into the game.
Guess with so many characters to choose from, you can't please everyone without having 400 characters. And I'm sure balancing all of them would be fun.

I'm pretty happy with who's in though. There's enough people I know and like to make a team, that'll do for me.
Look on the bright side, having too many awesome choices makes choosing a team too difficult.

But since I don't want to risk moderator intervention due to a lack of content in my post, I will say that having a nice roster of new characters is a good idea, or you could just as well go back and simply play MVC2 instead.

I've never read a comic and even I know Dead Pool. He was the best part of the Rise of Apocalypse X-Men game.

Ah that sucks, I liked her. Also, I'm not much of a comic fan either, it's just he's a pretty big character in the universe....or my friends just talked about him a lot. Also, Cracked.com.

Yes, it does look like they've removed a few characters. A few good ones. But honestly. Will you really miss them? What other fighter gives you the kind of section that MvC is giving you?

It's a ridiculous amount. They had to pull the plug somewhere. I mean they were pulling from 2 practically infinite sources. There's no way they could please everybody.

I didn't "diss" him I've just never really heard of him (same with many many people I know)

Seeing as they have a large roster to begin with, a few characters not being in is not that bad.
not to mention Marvel and capcom simply have way to many characters to fit into just one single fighting game.

Just my opinion, but I am happy with the line up.

The only character I have a problem with in the game is Viewtiful Joe. I didn't like any of his games and the annoying tv show they made years later. To me, it was an all round bad series. Everyone else in the game, I'm fine with. Deadpool and Dante are definitely awesome additions. Really, I expected the game to pull something like this, but nevertheless, I look forward to it.
