Why is 'My Escapist' filled with stuff I don't care about?

It's a Sunday, not much is going on so I thought I'd fix up the 'My Escapist' tab, which I assumed would be something like a user-controlled feed dump for all of the Escapist's videos, articles, comics etc.

But no. It seems to be more of a junk page for things that exist but don't look good elsewhere. New badges, today's birthdays, top games on PSN and Xbox, user reviews, user groups, user chat...

Ah well. At the top of the page it says "The Escapist Community" so maybe 'My Escapist' isn't aimed at people like 'me'.

I should probably go wash the cat, actually...

It has the community stuff on it, so it's understandably not going to go on the front page. You pretty much answered it yourself- it's the community stuff, if you don't care about that stuff, that's cool, but there are quite a lot of people that do. It's kinda like me asking why there's the Forum Games section. I don't use it, why's it there?

Meh, I guess that tab is just incorrectly labelled.

Maybe they couldn't fit "The Escapist Community", and just made the link say "My Escapist" instead because it's shorter.
