Why is there so much swearing at the beginning of Assassin's Creed 2?

The dialogue is not the best part of the game I agree (what is the deal with this Shaun guy? He's just being an asshole for the hell of it), but don't let that ruin the game for you

Does it really matter? I mean, sure it can annoy you but. An entire thread dedicated to the opening dialogue, which is a minimal amount of the game.

I was just seeing if it bugged anyone else. Apparently, I'm 1 of 3 people it annoyed! It stuck with me for a long time playing through the game before I forgot about it, kinda sullied the opening for me.

I understand that compared to AC1, it seems a little excessive, but watch Pulp Fiction and The Departed back to back and then talk to me about swearing.

I don't remember the swearing being excessive in AC2 at any point. Vagina isn't a swear word either.

I understand, but I tend to bypass any stupid dialogue, I usually try and skip dialogue in games anyway.

Same problem as most 'Mature' games these days. They just go absolutely f***ing mental trying to f***ing appeal to the f***ing 12 year old it was f***ing designed for. Oh no, it's got me too.

Because Ubisoft wanted to make their game cool and hard and thought cursing was the best way to do it instead of a story that made sense. Oh and btw OP vaginas isn't a swear word.

Also, what's with all the people blagging off the Assassin's Creed story? It was established as a Sci-Fi game from the get go, and I have played far more terribly ridiculous and baffling games than this one.
