Ever tried asking one?
Generally hard to have a conversation over the shotgun blasts.
Now you're just making excuses.
You're right. The black prince says we should be more tolerant.

Just look how happy they are to finally be accepted!

any meteor big enough to kill a billion would throw up debris that would block the sun, all the plants would die, then the herbivores, then the carnivores, then the omnivores, and all that would be left is the little critters beneath the ground

It would be the dinosaur extinction all over again
Your thinking of nuclear fallout, I think.

You relies if herbivores and carnivores are dead then omnivores died at roughly the same time.

It also depends on were it lands, Sahara desert is just alot of sand, Greenland is alot of snow, in an ocean is a bit of a wave which would drown a few people and in a city would kill a few people but I can't see it being as bad as you think.

Like if it lands in Chicago, I doubt it would effect any body in Mumbai ... maybe a slight earthquake.

To be fair, the forces involved in a 2KM sized meteor impact are likely greater than you're standard nuke, just without all the juicy radiation. So the initial blast would cause a monumental cloud of dust/ash/random junk. Whatever happens, I think we can all agree that it would look fucking awesome.

I'm not thinking about nuclear fallout at all, what I just described is the leading theory of why dinosaurs went extinct, and I think you underestimate the force of impact of these things, they really could blot out the sun with debris till all advanced life went extinct

and yes, you're right, the omnivores would die out at the same time.

Wait....how did we get here from zombies?

Well since were alot more advanced than the dino's were, I think we could sort out someway of clearing any dust that could cloud our skies (atleast global warming wouldn't be a problem, but lets not get further off track).

I think were here due to my misleading correction, my bad. I think this is more interesting than zombies though.

Well 2km is about 1.2 miles so relatively speaking it's not that big, I walk 2.2 miles a day.

It depends on were your stood, if your in it's path then it's not so great but watching through binoculars would be freakin' sweet!

Rabies can sometimes do that to a person, so yeah, I guess that is kind of a reason.

If some new strain of rabies formed, zombies are possible

(Possible in the sense that a meteor could drop in from outer space and smite me at any moment)
Actually your just less than twice as likely to get hit by a meteor than a bolt of lightening.

Although the chances are 1 in 6 million per year but it has to happen to some body.

(Lightening is 1 in 10 million per year, incase you wanted to know.)
That cannot possibly be true, almost twice as many people are hit by meteors than lightning?
The chances of being hit by lightning is larger than winning the million dollar lottery 8D
Also, anyone heard of a man who was hit by lightning five times during his life? Then his tombstone was hit after he was dead and buried.. creepy thing is it happened every 11th year...

Anyway. I guess we have a repressed urge to kill each other? How often haven't I had to repress that urge back in elementary school with some good, therapeutic FPS. : |
