What i'm trying to get across is the distinction between when a film can be tolerated for its gory sections for a meaningful purpose and when its just to get a rise out of the audience. It is right to use such a sensative subject and use the latter? Saw is gory for the sake of just being gory, right? but some films can use gore in a professional way.

I think he needs to be very careful at least by this point. yes he as every right to make it, though his reasoning seems to be a bit flawed. Yes those things did happen and were horrific to the extreme. i just have images of Boll doing something wrong, one way or another if it ever gets released.

Uwe Boll is a joke. I don't see why anyone should pay attention to what he does, unless when it comes to things like holocaust which shouldn't be handled by an idiot. I hope the movie never sees the day of light, critics will boycott it, and in the meanwhile kick Uwe's teeth out.

We all know Uwe Boll isn't known for his stellar film record, especially when it comes to video game adaptions. But his next film, Auschwitz looks in detail at the atrocities of the holocaust.

What caught my attention about this was when he said that the critically acclaimed Schindler's List did not appeal to younger generations. Schindler's List to me is an iconic film, not just because of it's source material, but it's just amazing piece of cinematography.

I've recently watched the film trailer as well and can't believe how disturbing it is. Apparently many critics have boycotted the film already, but what's your opinion on it?

Its nothing personal about Boll, but i'm not exactly filled with confidence when you look at his Filmography.
I don't see the big deal, there's been dozens of films about the Holocaust. Why can't Uwe make one? Redundant question, because the fact is, he can, and he will, because you can't stop Uwe because he's the man. Whatever he turns out with I'm sure it's not going to be as cheap, graphic or exploitative as "Ilsa: She-Wolf Of The SS" or "SS Camp Experiment" so the critics are just having a needless whine. The real reason for it is that critics just hate Uwe because Uwe has got the balls to stand up to them and go "fuck you, I'm doing things my way and your opinions don't matter", and critics get nervous when the cold, hard truth that they're basically irrelevant get shoved in their faces time and time again, because it means that they might be unemployable soon. Uwe is a champion and a great role model for young people, and I'm planning to buy everything he's ever made while they're still cheap before his genius is formally recognised and they bump the prices of the DVDs up.
