Violence is wrong all together, this is going to sound brutal, but i would not physically hurt some1, but mentally, bring in their personal problems and make them fell worse then the scenario they put me in

Why would you think violence is a solution for kids only?

It works fine well into adulthood, you just have to be more careful with how you apply it.

Aggression is not something you can eliminate in a human psyche; you can control it and reduce its influence, but it's still there. Beating the crap out of someone is almost always the quickest and simplest solution to any small scale problem. The amount of collateral damage almost always means it's not the right decision, but you cannot honestly tell me that you've never wished that you could just beat someone up to get what you want.

Enlightenment can come from a punch to the face, especially when you are David and your picking on Goliath because it makes your balls feel metaphorically bigger.
Plus i am one of the believers that chaos is inevitable, and that world peace cant be achieved.
now that my morals have been posted ON topic, kids believe violence is the solution
1. because the nature to be violent is in all of us
2. name one kids tv show (that will keep a kids attention) that doesn't have violence in it. At a young age we are taut that violence works and can "save the day" even.
3.The kid in question hasn't learned of other ways of dealing a blow to someone you don't like, because sometime chaos can come from a court case or non violent argument.

Usually when a person becomes angry they are simply overcome with a sudden rush of adrenaline. Adrenaline is what causes me to feel like brutalising someone or something, but then common sense starts setting in and I realise there are much more damaging ways to inflict pain on someone.

Take my Ex for example, I keep being fed information about my ex that has the potential to damage himself and his relationships with certain people. Most recent is the fact that not only did he fall in love with my best friend (at the time) but also tried to destroy her marriage by begging her to leave with him, taking her two children to Melbourne and leave her husband behind...a matter of two weeks after we split. That is on top of the part where he was sending explicit texts and pictures to mutual friends of ours in the same year he proposed to me (stupidly he confessed this to said friend.) One of the friends is his mates fiancee...

Yeah, I could see this destroying his relationships with his family and closest friends, much more effective than anything of a physical nature.

I know someone who constantly expresses desire to kill another person.

Though, in fairness to him, everybody (jocks, preps, punks, goths, emos, gangsters, nerds, hackers, ect.) wishes the person he wants to take out would just disappear.

edit-

Oh, as to why:

Part of it is probably the underdeveloped brains. The rest, a combination of a lack of real world experience and hormones.
That is horribly discriminatory. Hormones, yes and society is also a yes, but underdeveloped brains and a lack of real world experience?

Ehh, the last one might be right, but high school is where you start to learn those bits, so don't look at that as a fault or a negative (welcome to the department of redundancy department, mind ringing the bell again for effect?).

I'd say it's... actually I don't understand it at all, it seems obscenely stupid. I mean sure, I'd like to whack someone once in a while, but for a reason usually provoked by acts straddling the line between sexual molestation and excessively overt and gay jokes and I'd never go out and pick a fight. Not unless I was already being attacked. It just proves what people think about teenagers.

Edit and Counter-point: Why do adults think violence is a solution? Sure, there are more idiots in high school, but that doesn't mean they stop existing once you graduate.

Why are people violent?

Bloodlust trumps logic every time.

Or, I don't know, toture is wonderous fun when you are too young for a concience.

in real life things don't work like that!
Oh but they do, my friend. Things have worked like that for a very, very long time. Why should violence cease to be a viable option now? Up 'till very recently, "justice" was delivered by the grimy hands of a mob just as much as the cool deliberations of a court room.

I think it often comes down to maturity. If you can't win with words and you HAVE TO WIN, what do you have left but your fists?

This is why I enjoy being artfully articulate.

... Because it often works. Here is a caveman analogy. Fred pisses Joe off. Joe asks Fred to stop. Fred ignores Joe. Joe finds a rock. Joe bashes Fred in head. Multiple times. Till he's dead. Problem solved.

Contrary to popular opinion, violence sometimes does work.
