why my life is awesome

I've got only two more weeks of lectures before the exam period, and then from 7th June - 1st October I am a free man with £4000 and very little to spend it on.

...

On reflection, I really seem to be taking my situation for granted...

so i work 12 hour days (i used to work 12-16) which means i am now due for another weekly 4 day weekend and decided to stop off and grab some thai food and a bottle of bourbon and as i walk out of the bottle shop BAM!! 50 bucks on the ground, i look around to see if anyone dropped it since i am one of those morons that actually give stuff back to their rightful owner and noone is around!!

i am now mildly intoxicated, $50 richer and going to eat some thai food and watch the latest episode of game of thrones. do any of you dare say your life is more awesome than mine?

I had something kind of like that, but with less money and no burbon (since I am only 19). I was working at my store moving carts around in the entryway (you know, where everyone gets and drops off thier carts), and I find stuff in there all the time. Keys, phones, wallets, stuff I obviously cant claim. However, there was one time I found a $10 bill in one of the carts. Well, being the nice guy I am, I turned it into lost and found. Afew days later I come back and find out that when it comes to money, there is apparently a company policy that if no one claims it within 3 days, its the finders. This was 5 days later. So of course, it went right back into the store because I spent it on a 3 chicken strip dinner over in the deli.

I have a four day long weekend so my life is pretty awesome.

I have a five month weekend.

My last exam of this year was Tuesday. I'm now free to do whatever I want until mid-September, which includes: Drinking, Download Festival, Shambala Festival, a trip to Amsterdam and drinking. The best part is, the government is paying for all of this (until I am no longer a poor student, and then they will sap my earnings for the rest of my life).

Oh, and they've brought back Vanilla Coke.

Being a student is pretty much the tits.

It's so good, I decided to do it again!

Yep, I'm feeling pretty good because yesterday I found out I've got the funding to do an integrated masters/phd in advanced particulate material engineering. It feels pretty awesome, especially after having spent most of the past year wondering if my life was ever going to actually start going somewhere. Now I'm going to be a scientist! Doing science!

I've got a challenging job that pays well. I've got my own apartment with plenty of space that houses my rocking home entertainment system, 360, PS3 and PC. My immediate and extended family live close enough but not too close that I'm expected to see them every week. And I've got some pretty awesome friends so while I may not have a sweet start to a weekend like the OP, I'd say things are pretty good for me.

I'm unemployed, poor and living with my parents. Yep, your life is awesome. Can you do me a favor and shoot me?

I would a soul draining job , i got debt out wazoo . I got my paycheck today and all igot left is 43 $ for two weeks . I have too much pride to go crawling back to my parents and i live with a girl that makes me miserable . Wanna switch lives?

I work a job that I find reasonably enjoyable, make a decent wage, have my own house and car. So yeah I'm pretty happy with my life at the moment.

I work from home and get paid by the state. I have my own car and some very great friends. I have video games and Season 1 of Pinky and the Brain. Plus I have a library within 2 minutes away from my house and a plethora of books to read. My life can't actually get better. At least not til September when I'll also be doing my side job of seasonal work of scaring the shit out of people.
