Why, or why not will you be purchasing the steam box?

I am thinking of getting the Steambox, but the Steambox IS (whether you like it or not) a console, PC gamers. It has a controller, and you plug it into your TV. The only reason I am getting it, is because I'm to poor to afford a massive gaming tower. I play on a business laptop with a decent graphics card and processor. But you can play with a mouse and keyboard. SO - It will be cheaper than a vamped up PC, It will run games fine, and I can still use my keyboard. Not to mention righteous steam sales. Win -Win.
Thoughts?

My gaming notebook has a controller and I plug it into my TV. I will likely not get a Steam box, only because I am not the target audience. I can build my own, and that is not needed, Steam OS on the other hand, I am very much interested in. Anything that takes out Micro$uck from PC gaming is something I am very interested in.
