No weapon can claim to be overpowered, hell no. And that's what I absolutely love about the fucking game!!! Finally some balance, finally you actually need skill and use teamwork to win! Some weapons suit better for some weapon but they all do the same thing (yeah you guessed it, kill). Grenades and noobtubes are fucking hard to kill with and the blast radius is pretty small (yet again, a good thing). This means that fuckers can't kill you by just pointing in your general direction but you actually have to coordinate and aim your explosives right. Awe. Some.
the medic is a little overpowered, the LMG + heal + res = a tad over powered.

The AT weapons are over powered vs infantry, 1 hit kill + blast radius+ scope = a tad over powered. They are better at sniping than the recons lol

The auto sniper weapons need to be more accurate, less recoil or do more damage. As they are they are pointless really. You can get a few kills being an agro recon and putting the red dot on them for close quarters, but obviously not as good as any of the other classes.

The assault class is alright, the assault rifle isn't as good as the LMG, but you get a gen launcher so yeah.

The game is well balanced, not perfectly balance but i think that is near impossible lol.

Nothing is overpowered? What game have you been playing?
The WWII pistol is insanely overpowered.
The XM8 Assault rifle is borderline overpowered for damage, add in the accuracy and it's very overpowered. The same goes for the M16 (may be burst but these MW2 fanboys and their modded controllers...) and the M60.

Oh yeah, we can't forget the UAV... What a joke.

Listen, I hate CoD, with a passion (well, I like the single player), I consider myself a BF guy, I've loved BF for years. This latest one is a horrible joke though. It's not BF, it's a hybrid between BF and CoD, "Call of Battlefield" is what I've been calling it.
Hell, the lead producer, GvD is making plans to hang out with IW's 402 over twitter.

That all being said, I still want all the MW2 fanboys to stay as far away from BF as possible. DICE may have screwed the series up, but it's nothing compared to how badly the MW2 fanboys are screwing it up.

only get this game if you have at least 3 friends to squad up with, so annoying and frustrating playing with randoms

The squad play is awesome. For once it actually feels like you're working towards a goal with your team instead of just being placed somewhere for a random frag-fest. Also, the supposedly free future map-packs help too. =]

My order:
COD4 > BF:BC2 > COD:MW2 > BF:BC

COD4 Multiplayer was perfect, how could Infinity Ward turn it into crap?

Different things for different people. Battlefield is more about strategy and long range combat while MW2 is more about reflexes. It just depends on what you want from your game. I personally sold MW2 for Battlefield, I am not regretting it yet.

I loved BF2 for the PC. Mostly because of the 64 person epic battles. Do you think that BF:BC2 for the PC will be a disappointment if I am used to BF2. I am a little put off by regenerating health and no prone....
BC2 is more fast paced than BF2, with less of a focus on vehicles (In the majority of cases, although they are present on every map I can think of.). It's more cinematic and frantic, and you'll get more of those "Battlefield Moments". For want of a better word.

Your health doesn't really regenerate. I don't know what the stats are, but it's something like 3hp/s after 10 seconds out of combat. Sounds like a lot, but you're rarely out of combat. Medics still heal. I think the health pack doubles or triples the healing rate.

And the lack of prone didn't really bother me, to be honest. What was surprising was the lack of alteration of weapon spread when crouching compared to when standing. You're better off standing and shooting then crouching as the difference is so small. Although I think when crouched the spread returns to 0 faster when not shooting.
Oh, okay thanks. I was under the impression that there was no health bar. I don't know where I learned that?!? So sounds like I am going to get it for my birthday (2 weeks from now).

Personally I like BC2 because its more of a faithful return to the "feel" of Battlefield 1942. They know they aren't going for absolute simulation, but they aren't too far off. Its a good game to jump into for 5 minutes or 5 hours. Arma2 is still better if you want the total realism end of things. BC2 isn't trying to be absolutely real... but its dead in line with the normal Battlefield 1942 physics world. And atleast for now not having the greatest team isn't too much of a worry, there are thousands of near full servers available 24/7 it seems.

Overall, if you liked MW2, there shouldn't be any reason you won't like BC2. If your just looking for a shooter go for it. But I won't say its an absolute get it now! You could wait for it to hit the cheap shelves and not miss much.

Also alot of server are running anti-cheating mods, they seem to be working exceptionally well, better than punkbuster.

Don't buy it for the singleplayer, the multiplayer is quite a lot better than MW2.
thats weird because the cover art features the very well charcterised NPCs and the title is the actual name of the singleplayer squad your in it has barley a mention of multiplayer and besides if a games singleplayer is shit dont buy it every game has to stand up on single player alone with multiplayer thrown in as a gimmick thats why half life worked however if its multiplayer only then it will proberbly be shit becaus all multiplayer only games are full of six year olds and americans

It was kind of hard to understand what you said but yes there is mention of multiplayer on the box itself. Seriously you didn't notice the thing that said defining online warfare or the gamertag above all the peoples heads? or that 3/4 of the pictures and captions on the back are related to multiplayer?
Also, how is the multiplayer thrown in as a gimmick? The whole battlefield series has been characterised by its multiplayer from the start, in fact all the games up to the first Bad Company didn't even have single player, only multiplayer. What's wrong with Americans? and about the six year olds thing six year olds don't like playing games that actually involve strategy so you won't find many of them on Bad Company in fact I got the game on the release date and I haven't even heard one squeeky voice.

You can't see your own health bar, but your teammates (Especially medics) can.

Honestly if you're unsure about buying it I would try renting it first.Several of my friends think it's the greatest thing ever and were trying to persuade me to buy it.I rented it for a week and honestly it's not my cup of tea so I'm pretty glad now I didn't buy it.

And no I'm not a MW2 fanboy in case you're wondering

So what does BFBC2 have over MW2?
Not much.
Lag issues, terrible hit detection, you get caught up on the smallest objects (Stopping from a dead run because of a little rock...and I wish I was exaggerating), spastic gun accuracy, only 4 player chat (On consoles), everyone snipes, and zero team work going on unless you've got 3 friends playing the game, but that' can't always be guaranteed, and who wants a game that's only fun when your friends are on and playing it with you?
Not I.

MW2 is certainly not the pinnacle of online shooters, but BFBC2 isn't either.
People obviously enjoy the game, though I'm convinced that a bunch of those people only like it because they did not like MW2, but I am not one of those people. I wasted 60 bucks on the first bad company, gave the demo for this one a try, and was reminded why I traded the first one in after 2 weeks.

PC Gamers might have a different experience with this, and with MW2, but as a console gamer, MW2 is far more fun and entertaining online then BF:BC2. At least, it is for me.

I have both and I like them both, depending on my mood, I'll play one or the other. If I feel like being an unstoppable one man commando with slick gun play and awesome fast paced action I'll play MW2. If I feel like running through a ragged warzone dodging rockets and running for cover (or away from it), take part in epic tank battles in ruined desert cities or huge fire fights dense jungle bases, I'll play BFBC2.

It really depends on your preference.

(magmum ammo is stopping power, end of) apart from vehicles where it works well.
I don't quite understand this complaint about magnum ammo, it reduces the bullets you need to kill someone by 1, how is this so broken? So, on the AN-94 for example, which shoots 2-shot bursts, you need 5 bullets to kill someone at long long, instead of 6, wait, with the 2 shot bursts that still means you have to fire 3 times?

I don't mean to be coming across as a fanboy, because I loved MW1, and sorta liked MW2, but magnum ammo is nothing compared to how much of a difference stopping power makes

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against mag ammo (Hell I reckon that's the majority of my post level 16 kills.) However, as my sniper friend regually points out, snipers have to compansate for bullet drop alot more then a guy with a rifle. I will get a sniper dead on with a scope and mag ammo with, say, a XM8, at a range where you'd need a small adjustment for a sniper without. It's unrealistic and slightly concerning some bloke can just spray your location.

It also does count for weapons too. An M60 with it will drop someone at range with two head shots. Thats 50% each shot. I also think with the ammo it takes three shots to kill someone at CQC with an M60. Now thats a horrible noob gun, which is getting nerfed, but it makes one hell of a difference. Same goes for assult rifles, but like you pointed out, it's only normally one bullet for a gun but on some guns (M468, M60, AKU-74s) it makes a massive difference.

The thing which gets me the most is it's just another rip off from COD. After taking the piss out of it, borrowing elements from it seems ironic in a way.
