having play a handful of games on my ps3....(there aren't that many...or should I say not that many that are good..but still a ps3 supporter..) anyway, I see folks that have like 400 trophies and are level 12 or something stupid like that, giving these folks might not be employed or if they have a job it's at "gamestop" or some hole in the ground game store...how do they find time to play this many games??..guess this is the whole thing about being a "hardcore gamer"...it would be great if someone could shed some light on this...are they hacking the psn? or what? and is there that many games out there that could add up to 500 and 600 trophies?

I've seen this before, frankly I think that many of them must just spend a ridicules amount of time on short PSN games getting as many as they can.

Well let's see... It seems like every game contains around 12 trophies. My guess is that they just buy crappy movie-tie-in games to get as many trophies as possible. I only have 7 myself so... I guess they either have no life or just REALLY love the feeling of achievement. As far as I know you don't get anything special from completing it all.

on a totally unrelated subject...after playing the new ufc game for 3 days and feeling like i could go online and play against a few folks and not get killed!..i see the leaderboard and the guy in first place has fought over 180 fights and his record was something like 151-30ish??? I said "damn!"...the game just came out and I had no chance to see my name in lights!!(not that it was that important but i thought i was pretty good with my 20-7 record....oh well...comments?
I have a lot of trophys I'm at level 8 with 300+ trophies I think, I have the platinum for Bioshock, Uncharted and COD:WAW and am close to getting it for Mirrors edge, Mercinaries 2 and Prince of persia I get them for the challange of it and because it's fun and gets more out of a game.

Quite simply most trophies or achievements aren't all that hard to get. Beat a 5- 10 hour game get a bunch. Those off the wall ones (like kill 10 guys with a single bullet) well there are websites dedicated to how to get them. And if you have gamefly or a reasonable facimile well that is how you can afford it. It doesn't require alot of time or effort (or skill for that matter just look at my over 50,000 ach points) to rack up the points.
I have about 300 trophies, which makes me lvl 7. Although, I get trophies because it is another thing to do in the game. Resistance 1 had skill points and resistance 2 has trophies. It just gives me something to do.
