Why the hate on Transformers 2 ?

I think people just love to find something to hate about something that your supposed to love honestly, it happens to everything these days. In this case it's the New Transformers movie

Why do so many people and press think it's garbage ? i watched it with great skepticism and noticed that this was actually a great movie with only one flaw ( Longer then expected )
also all the reviewers seem to moan a great deal about the smallest things like the stearotypical twin transformers , are these 2 personallites (which we all find funny) really gonna screw up a movie ?

people have told me how it has no plot yet these was a clear plot and it was dead simple
i'm not going to talk anymore i just want a really good explantion to why this movie has recievied so much negativity ? (i do respect opinion's on how someone doesn't like something but in this case they give opinion's without any sense)

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that most people hate transformers 2 because it was an awful movie. That hate is magnefied by the fact that a good portion of those people enjoyed the source material.

For that reason, you don't hear so much about how God awful "Year One" was because nothing about that movie occupied a large number of people's childhoods.

And yes, I saw both movies.

Or they legitimately hate it. You're not supposed to love something automatically, and you shouldn't try to force your opinion on others. Obviously you liked the movie, others didn't, and you need to get over it.

It was loud stupid and gratuitious and not in the good way sure theres tons of action but what the fuck is happening its a cgi fest that would make Lucas head spin, you had the really cool giant transformer thing and killed it with a fucking rail gun? Really Bay?

And the humour was shite weed jokes, wrecking ball testicles, dogs humping twice i know its a pg13 but come on even for bay thats juvanile.

I never watched Transformers as a kid but the movie is just so lacking of any real merit I dont give a shit about Shia Labuff and Megan Fox nor about seeing an old guys ass on screen. You cant fling people into whats essentialy a 2 1/2 hour long special effects reel and expect it to be compelling or worth watching not at that length anyway.

Stop with the racism card. The twins were robots. One was green and the other was red. Nowhere was it stated that they were black. You're just assuming they were supposed to be because of how they acted and spoke.

...which is exactly how I want it to be
