Why the (near) future of TV/movies is -not- streaming or all digital

Yeah, it's like $50/month for 200GB ADSL2+ now. Although I'm with a good ISP and therefore not really up to speed with Telstra's rates, I thought their prices had calmed down a bit recently.

While I think that streaming will be better when all the objective stuff listed above (#4 and #5, because #1 is subjective, #2 is exagerated and #3 is just plain wrong) is worked out, I do agree about the those two points of this (ESPECIALLY #4). But still, when it comes to movies, I don't see what the big deal is about Blu-Ray.

Well, if you want to see the big deal, find a way to get 2 copies of the same movie, one on DVD, and one on BD. Watch the DVD first, then play the BD. You'll notice an astonishing difference. Of course, you obviously must be on an HDTV, and more recent movies make better examples.
