I get really pissed off at games and ten times worse when it's with someone in purpose, it took 3 people to get me off my smug **** little cousin cause she beat me on Wii Baseball.

My reason? genetics, I acquired a short fuse from my Dad making me easily angry

Well people get equally if not more so annoyed when WATCHING sports games. I don't see why actually part taking a game at least at the competitive level should be any less frustrating. Also spawn killers and people who exploit imbalanced mechanics or weapons will make some people rage. Everyone has their limit.

Some games are hard, these games make you angry, anger makes you violent, violence makes you feel better!

Simple, Adrenaline.
Because I'm tired of my things getting broken while doing something that's supposed to be enjoyable.

and I still don't really get it- what about a game could trigger adrenaline and/or make someone mad...

I just don't get it honestly...

then again I am referred to as a "gaming GOD" and no one ever really plays with me and when they do they get mad and break my stuff and...

I'm starting to ramble aren't I?
Honestly you sound like you need to pull your head out ya ass. But I'm starting to ramble aren't I?

O.T. Get a new friend to game with. This one sounds a little too wild your your tastes. Oh, and close the window if you don't want stuff flying out of it.

alright in short-

Why do people rage about games or get mad and break things?
I mean seriously they're JUST GAMES, they have no value or impact on the real world (you know what I mean)and they're supposed to be fun... so why do some people get so mad over them that they act so poorly that 2 year olds say "grow up" I mean like, why do people get so mad about a GAAAAAAAAAAAAME that they'll break things for example.

anyone care to fill me in; because I'm starting to feel like the only mature gamer I know (...that I really KNOW; yeah I'm surrounded by ragers)

EDIT: People keep saying it's NOT immature to get frustrated; so allow me to reiterate.
It's not getting mad that I find horribly immature (although personally I find it a little childish; just a little) it's breaking things, letting loose and non-stop string of insults, yelling at the top of your lungs at the person RIGHT next to you, claiming the game sucks with no reason to say so (minus the fact that you lost at it) and just being a poor-sport over all; instead of saying like "Good game" and getting a handshake, I get "YOU CHEATED YOU DICK!" followed by one of my controllers being thrown out my window. (which for the record, I doubt killing someone in a racing game ABOUT KILLING OTHER RACERS is "cheating" ...it was F-Zero GX)

Beacose you feel bad than you loose and get pissed.

I nearly never let it go that far I rather stop playing and do something else or punsh a pillow and play a other game.

(only get frustrated on MP)

I just read your Edit.

Fellow, your friends have problems. I mean, most gamers will RAGE when they do badly or when they think the game is being unfair, or even when they lose to another friend-- but I think your friends literally need anger management therapy. Seriously, think about talking to their parents.

Well, for my end of the world, I have a passal of games I probably won't be playing again due to the "frustration vs. fun" quotient. If the game is more frustrating than it is fun to play, I tend to put it down and try something else. I want a challenge, yes, but it's a GAME, not a frickin' job. If I have to work for days on end at getting past one puzzle or something, then it's pretty likely I'm not having so much fun as I'm working, and work is a four letter word in my off-time.

It is basic human nature to get angry and frustrated when attempting to perform any task and failing repeatedly.
Yes but BREAKING THINGS?! no wait
BREAKING OTHERS POSSESSIONS?!

...also if you'll note I've stated that I don't get "angry" I get "excited" because a challenge in a game is so freaking rare for me!

1) I'm referred to as "a gaming god" I didn't bring the title upon myself and I absolutely HATE it because it's pretty much a big neon sign that says "DON'T PLAY WITH ME I WILL PWN YOU" which leads to things getting really boring really fast because I have no one at all to play games with!

2) ...they won't leave me alone! They won't play games with me but guess who's the first person they call when they need something unlocked in 10 seconds?

3) ...the window was closed... don't think about that one too long... freaking windows are expensive!

To say you hate it after reading a few of your responces it does genuinely sound likes its gone to your head. The whole 'It's hard to find a challenge bollocks' I think we got that your good at gaming when compared to your friends the first time you gloated.

Not compared to my friends; because I hardly ever play against them (because they won't play ageinst me)

when I say "can't find a challenge" I mean I have to play single player games and add my own stuff to make it hard.

and it really IS annoying for me.

Now you can continue to argue this is you want; but bottom line is. I hate being good at games because no one will play with me and single player games are boring.

...and I wouldn't really say it's "gone to my head" because that would imply that I'm cocky and think I'm some god. What I think is that I'm good at memorizing patterns and I can do some impressive things easily. And I won't get cocky because Scorpion can beat me in KI (met him at school) if I do; and I won't think I'm a god until I can beat Sharklar in Beat Hazard (met him online- he was the top of the high score table)

Well good for you, you apparently have more skill than most gamers, according to your not-very humble posts ('God-like... really??).

But most people find plenty of challenge in gaming. If you think you're really that good then go play some Gamebattles matches against organised clans, you'll then see how 'god like' you're skills really are.

People deal with loss in differnt ways. It's as simple as that.

I do fight clans (in TF2 because I hate console shooters for the most part) and well... let me put their response this way- and no I'm not joking it's pretty dang funny

**WOPR HAS JOINED TEAM RED**
Team Blu: FRICK! EVERYONE GO ENGIE/PYRO!

...yeah I'm almost always scout or spy
I will say that snipers kill me a little TOO often; so ya got me there

and I never said "hey look I'm god-like!"
I said "hey everyone here calls me a gaming god"

...on that note of godlike

I really, really don't care. Youtube is exploding at the seams with videos of people getting amazing scores in games. Good for you for being skilled but really, you are coming across as quite boastful.
