See and here I thought this thread would be about how Dan Brown does no research about his subjects and is hilariously ignorant about things he writes about...
That doesn't need a thread it's like saying water is wet.

For proof, see Fight Club (I can't believe I just became that guy), Let The Right One In, American Psycho, Das Boot, The Green Mile, A Prayer For The Dying. The list goes on, but I will stop now.
the only thing about American Psycho is they took out a lot but they did keep a bunch of the stuff but all in all it was pretty close to the book
Yeah I posted again saying that the reason they cut things usually is because people these days are dickheads who complain about sitting through a 3 hour movie.

Because if I let them tell my actual plot, it would ruin the surprise.

And I can't have that now, can I?

It's Ron Howard. His biographical films (A Beautiful Mind/Cinderella Man) end up being grossly inaccurate, it's really no surprise he's taken a few liberties on the book.

Starship Troopers.

Paul Verhoeven and his screen writers deserve nothing less than contempt for that abomination.
It's a weird attempt at satire.

It was an awesome attempt at Satire. No matter what else, that movie was damn good fun.

Hmm. It wasn't really my thing but, on the whole, I concur.

I think a lot of why its inaccurate is because Dan Brown is a shitty writer.
Why the fuck are his books so acclaimed?

Except The Lord of the rings trilogy. People flocked to those like it was the second coming.
