Wirral/Cheshire, UK

Yes, i carn't decide which county i am in. Historically, geographically and i suppose socially my home town is in Wirral, but politically and due to insurance reasons my home town is placed in Cheshire.

Anyway, pro's

-living on a small penisula in England, most of my friends live a short distance away, so socially things are quite nice.

-To the north end of the penisula there is the built up urban areas around the river mersey, which includes Birkenhead, Wallasey and Bebington, with Liverpool over the water. So if you want some night life, or to do some serious shopping, it aint hard. Likewise over in Cheshire, there is the rather nice city of Chester, which while it carn't compete with Liverpool in terms of night-life and shopping, it is a lot nicer and more interesting place. On the south side of the penisula, nearer were i live, you have lots of small medieval-esque towns and villages like Burton, Heswall and Thoughton Hough, which attract quite a few well to do people.

-Where i live we have a marsh, which is nice to walk along, attracts lots of bird life and we have lovely views over towards the Welsh mountains in the south.

Con's

Public transport is not brilliant. If you want to get to Liverpool by train without changing you have to drive to Hooton station, the buses will only take you to the main city areas, and not to smaller towns where your friends happen to live. Likewise the night bus from Liverpool only covers the northern half of the pensula, and not the south half. It is also increadibly annoying that the busses don't take you to Brombourgh, were they have a good retail park. Cheshire Oaks is all new and savvy, but too far out.

The fact that i live near a marsh means that it does not do my allergies much good.

Carnt really think of much else to say really..here's some pics from near were i live

The Marsh

Parkgate Prominarde- I've sat many times on that bench,it serves as a convienent meeting place where i would meet up with friends, whole usually eating an ice cream from the locally famous ice cream shop nearby.

Chester, where you see the town clock built into a section of the old city wall

Rather typical view of Liverpool's water front.

I hate and Love Indiana, for almost the same reason. It's a really conservative state.

Hate.
2 charges of Marijuana possesion is a felony charge. Is too old fashioned sometimes.

Love.
It's homely. Legal age of sex is 16.

Sort of a middleground thing, you can get any drug in any county. Though I believe that's true for any state, country, or continent.

There is no perfect place, and Florida is the perfect example of this.
We got the hillbillies up north and the gangstas to the south.
At least there are more Hispanic people south than north. It was so odd being a lone Cuban in a black and white school.

I absolutely hate California. The air is practically toxic in Los Angeles, everything costs too much, animals have more rights than humans, and weapons laws are absolutely insane. Not to mention the school system is a total load of ass and matches.
North Cal ain't all that bad. LA is hell.

I love New York City, I really would not be happier anywhere but here. I have the city a mere 30 minutes away with all it's bright lights and culture. Sadly, I live on a little borough that no one has even heard of, which makes it horrible. I mean, once you watch an Episode of the Jersey Shore, you can get a jist as to why I hate Staten Island -_-

I'm from central Illinois and going to school in Wisconsin. I prefer Illinois because that's where all my friends are, I'm from a slightly bigger town that has more stuff to do and I don't get people giving me shit when they find out I'm from Illinois. Seriously people! Chicago is not the entire state! Illinois and Wisconsin are practically the same except one has cows and one has corn. Though there is more stuff to look at when you're driving on the highway in Wisconsin (at least in the upper half of the state) so I guess that's nice. I just think my biggest problem with Wisconsin is more with the town I'm currently in which I really can't wait to get out of when I'm done with school.

I don't have a very good memory of California, moved when I was about four....

Kentucky is a pretty good state though.... Warm summers. Cool Winters. Spring and Fall are quite mild...

Lies. Kentucky doesn't teach any religious classes...

Yorkshire, in England; whilst I'll complain about there not being any jobs due in part to the main source of them being closed by the government in the '80s, or that it always seems to be over run with chavs...
I don't know why, but I can never bring myself to say I hate it. It's hard to explain; I guess you'd have to be from here to get what I mean...

<a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pace,_Florida>Pace, Florida. I love this place. It is fairly small, but the population has grown significantly from what is posted on Wikipedia. It combines the space of the suburbs and a load of wilderness with all of the goods of city life, seeing as we are a really, really short drive from Pensacola.

Also, I love how my High School Principle is listed in the first paragraph of the page. That situation was complete bullshit. The ACLU is just a little too fucked up.

Spending six billion dollars and cutting 20% from education to pay for a fucking sporting event? No, I don't think I love my province.

I assume you're joking, but in case you're not, then how do you explain the "Creationist Museum", where school children go on field trips to learn that the Flinstones was scientifically accurate?

Alberta, Canada.

I love it. Calgary is as far as cities go boring as hell, but it's also clean and more friendly than most so it makes for a nice place to live. But what I really love about Alberta is the diversity. You've got your prairie, lots and lots of prairie, then you've got desert near the 'Badlands', which sounds like the desert level in a videogame, and of course the Rocky Mountains only a few hours drive away among other locations.

Pictures taken by me on various backpacking trip:

Oh, and no PST kinda rocks too if only because it makes things easier.
