video = videogame
nerd = ...
250 = the most badass number ever. (I've tried them all, from one to one thousand...two-fifty is the most badass. FACT).

The first anime that really got me into the genre (Sailor Moon does NOT count, and I'll be buggered if I'm naming myself after a Pokemon). It's hard to find a decent quality copy of it these days, and I'm not even sure if it even made it to DVD, as it was never that popular - I don't know why that is.

The word "monkfish" makes me think of a half-monkey half-fish type creature and the "acc" is because I don't remember how to abrieviate "association".
Monkfish Association is the name of my fictional company that rules half of the world in secret.

My name was born at a LAN party a few years back. I had my name as something like "T3h Jesus" or something, but then I realized that a church was hosting this party and that that name could be a bad idea. I was thinking of a new name when I saw my friend next to me watching the Tourette's Guy as he yelled "BOB SAGET!!!". I got the idea and the name pretty much stuck.

Copypasted from the same thread on a different board:

You've played Phantasy Star IV, yes? That explains "Le Roof", I should think. It was the initial name I took on a Phantasy Star message board, back in the days before registered names. After a while I noticed I seemed to be answering a fair bit of questions, so the addition of "Sensei" (teacher, for those not in the know) came naturally, although it would normally be applied as a suffix. (I thought in this case, it looked better up front.)

I wish there was a cool story behind this, but it just came about because I was trying to think of a name nobody would use. It just came to me after staring at the screen for a few minutes.

I use Atropos, or a7r0p05, because in Greek mythology, she (even though I am a man) was the most feared and wisest of the 3 Fates, a group of deities who decided destiny using a tapestry, each thread being an individual's life. Atropos was the fate who wielded the "Abhorred Shears"(I didn't make that up) and when she judged that it was your time to go, or if she just wanted you dead for some reason, she would sever your thread.

Well, since the title says "name", not username or nickname, I chose Jay because I like it, it's kind of related to the name my parents gave me, and when I started to hate the person that that name was associated to, I decided it was time to become a new person. Symbolically speaking, that is.

I actually have no idea why it popped into my head, but then again I usually don't. I came up with it 6 or 7 years ago when I was in 9th grade and it sounded sweet at the time. I use it for everything now 'cause no one else ever uses it.

I also make appearances as Roger Zein Trinoski, one of my characters, whenever I feel like masquerading as a guy, or as Kobbeu, which is my actual name in one of those letter-switching languages one of my friends came up with.

Well, I wanted something unusual and that sounded cool. So, I turned to the Ars Goetia. Demons are cool automatically, so I picked a spirit that sounded cool. Marbas it was.

From one of the other threads:

I made it up around 18 years ago when I first started using BBS' and playing MUDs.

Unfortunately other people started using the internet :p, and more and more often it is taken when I go to sign up for things.

I have another one I use when Hurion is taken, it was randomly generated in DAoC.

Well my real name is Anthony, and at school that usually got shortened to just 'Tony'.

While a bit tipsy with some mates we were playing some weird game when we linked peoples names to real items in the room (no idea why but eh.), and I got stuck with 'Toner' (from the nearby printer) and it's stuck for years + years now, more so online than in real life however.

I would have used the fencing nickname my friends 'constructed' for me out of randomly flicking through the dictionary (Giant Undead Leaping Bunny Of Death)which constitutes part of my MSN email address, but I think it would have been a bit too long.

Bertram, from the german words for bright raven, and these are gods, not people so i geuss anything goes... and you dident pause when the bird turned into a seed?
I've heard stranger, so bird becoming a seed doesn't faze me, but being surrounded by fellow teenagers has made me amazingly receptive to cum jokes. It just made me stop to hear one so...interestingly placed.

And your name rules.

Lucky. I have an extremely rare last name (less than 5000 people on the planet), and I have no idea what it means.
