I've looked through the first 7 or 8 pages of results after searching with every keyword.
So I think this thread is okay to make

Wich class would you identify yourself with? If you were to actually be in a Team Fortress match, wich class would be you?

Feel free to elaborate on why, and why not etc. =D

My contribution:
Scout
I think I identify myself with the scout more than anyone else. Reason being that I'm very fast in real life, and pretty much running as soon as I have the chance. And I also think in a fight I'd be more deadly with a bat thatn with a huge gun or flamethrower. Though all the hip-hop kinda thing is not really me. And I also love the headset thing of his =D

Spy
If not the Scout, then I think I'd say the spy. People rarely notice me unless I'm speaking. And when I'm not working at work, I'm allways sitting on top of the shelves. You know. So the bosses won't know I'm just sitting there (No one ever looks up, damnit =P). But again I'm never able to scare anyone that way. Probaly due to anticipation. And I'll guess that the anticipation when you're going to stab someone is a bit greater than when you're just going to scare them. I don't think I'd do much good just sneaking around.

Medic
I don't think I pay enough attention to my surroundings to be able to be a healer. I'm guessing I wouldn't notice that my teamate was going down until he was dead. Wich is what I've experienced a couple of times in L4D. The medic also seems a bit too cool and calm for me to identify with'm

Heavy
I'd definetely not be able to be Heavy. He is a huge guy with a huge gun. I think the most I'm able to run around with is 20 Kg =P No doubt about it - I'm not fit to be Heavy. I'm a small light guy =P

Pyro
I don't know what to say about pyro. He just doesn't seem like one I'd identify with. Whenever I use miniguns or flamethrowers, I tend to just spray. Spray with no real purpose or aim. I'd be backstabbed by Heavy if I was pyro.

Engineer
I'm most certain that I would not be able to maintain a clear enough mind to build something in the middle of a shootout. And besides I don't have that much of knowledge about mechanics. I'm an electrician. We just power stuff up.

Demoman
I'm pretty lousy at estimating when and where to place stuff like explosives. Even the gun thing. I'd probaly to a bounce-off-wall shot, just to find the thing lying next to me. "Who threw that?? Oh. I did". I'd blow myself up before we'd even get out =P

Soldier
As much as I love being a regular "non-specialist", I would'nt identify myself with Soldier. He's a real gunman. He's able to use guns. properly. Due to this I've allready fallen off that wagon.

Sniper
Sniper is good and all. And I'm better at aiming with a scope, rather than firing up a M4 or Kalashnikov. But I'm pretty sure I would not have the patience to find someone worth sniping. Also I suck at finding whatever I saw with my own eyes, when looking through binoculars.

Go!

I'd probably be an engineer, or a sniper. I'm not one for getting shot or maimed, so the idea of hiding behind a turret/great distance is pretty appealing.

Sniper for me. I'm great at finding hiding places, I'm deadly accurate with a scope, and I'm pretty patient.

And I don't bludgeon my wife to death over a golf trophy.

He he. I love that last part. Especially when he says "feelings??" at the same time as you see him backstab spy =D

But back on topic.
You mean you're finding hiding places often IRL? And you've shooted with a scope before?

Do you mean which one do you identify with in real life?, as a character I like the scout the most, he looks like he doesn't do damage but he's very effective.

But physically i'm a mix of the scout and the Heavy, i'm an extreme mesomorph body type with dense muscle mass, I had to have surgery and the surgeon actually said it took 2 hours longer than expected because they didn't realise I had so much muscle to go through. And this guy normally operates on people who do steroids! :D

But I dont have the heavy's stupidity.

In terms of being in a TF2 match for real, I'd be a support/defense role, its my forte.

Yes and yes. Whenever I go somewhere new, my attention is drawn to two major things: Places with a scenic view and places that no one would notice unless they looked hard enough. I used to be the kid that made my friends give up at Hide and Seek, going anywhere from on top of houses to inside thick bushes. One time I even managed to hide in an overturned cardboard box.

As for the scope, I used to play airsoft back when I was a kid, and I used a sniper rifle. I almost never missed. I've shot with a scope on rifle ranges as well, and I'm pretty good for an unpracticed marksman.

Sniper and Spy for me.

Both remain remarkably calm all the time (note the spy's rather pensive "I do believe I'm on fire" while he's burning alive), which is a pretty good approximation of myself (except for the burning alive part). Also they're both silent assassins in different ways. Get in, kill your target and get out before people know what the fuck.

Scout's the third choice, for those times I'm completely hyper. Also because I'm not really a tall guy, but have been known for taking down considerably larger opponents.

For one, I am a nerd so I like robotics and stuff. Secondly, He is the calmest class n the game, and so am I, and I like machines doing my job =D

I see. Awsome. I do the first of those major things, though. And the second is that I see oictures everywhere. Allways something that make up for a great picture.

Well, my English is good in paper, but when I speak it sounds very accented, a lot like the Demoman's "ME-DIC!"
I suppose I'd be the Sniper, though. I like having one perfect shot instead of spraying bullets like a maniac. I don't shoot with firearms, though, I hate using firearms, they're so dull. I shoot with a bow instead; it doesn't have the range of the sniper rifle, but the philosophy is the same: take your time, get that one perfect shot.

The Sniper or the Engineer, I rather not be in the middle of all the action. So what's better then being on the far side of the area picking off enemies, or dump down a sentry gun and play a banjo :p

Probably Sniper. I like to think of myself as manipulating the flow of events from behind the scenes, but I am not a master of disguise like the spy.

I identify w/ the scout because he's all thin and agile much like myself. Plus, we both run around all over the place. (Which is one of the reasons I dressed like him on Halloween.)

And he so happens to be as funny as f^ck:

I'm easily the Heavy, I may look big and scary but underneath I'm a gentle giant (that and I'm not very fast, am physically strong, believe that no-one can outsmart bullet and would like to own a custom minigun some day).

Sniper for me. I'm a very good marksman, in my family second only to my cousin forester.

But when it comes to character, Heavy. If I were to take a gun or a weapon, I would take the biggest one and just swing, swing, swing. People will have to dodge, I don't care. All I have to say to them is - CRY SOME MORE!!!

It seems that many of the posts has a "meet the [class]" video basis =P
I totally understand though. Those videos are brilliant =D
