There was this game for the NES called A Boy and his Blob, where you threw a blob jelly beans, which would make him change into items like a car jack or a brick wall for a short period of time.
Strangest game I've played? Chibi Robo. Not all that strange in play, but the idea of being a tiny robot that does chores for people all day is kinda... weird.
