Am I the only one who thought (Kill the mistress) as the first step when I read "Anyway you can" in the description?

There may be something wrong with me.

Cheating spouses as a game? Well I'm a big supporter of the Games Are Art and therefore nothing is forbidden camp, so I'd be quite a hypocrite if I found this offensive in any way.
You can find things offensive and still call them art. They should just be protected as art and not censored.

Anyway, this is no less offensive than that phone game where you need to "train" your boyfriend, or that "game" where you shoot guys on the street that give you cat calls (not as violent I suppose but still offensive). But I'll say the same thing I said in those cases: Who cares? Not my thing, but go for your life.

I'll pass. Not a big fan of cheating.
Especially relationship cheating. The first cheating I mentioned was cheating in video games XD

... My joke sucks I know. Just funny how you can cheat on your wife in a video game, where people do cheats. *cough*
Anyhow seriously, I don't see that being fun. Sort of rubs me off but not to where I must rant. Just rather ignore it entirely.
It'd be even funnier is if was released with Valve Anti-Cheat.

If mass murder is fine, so is adultery.

Not really much to discuss, either take the moral high ground or don't.

Well I, for one, am glad that the games industry has produced a game where one gets to play as the minority :

women cheat more than men do
That's only because women get caught more... because men have games like this to hone their skills with.

Did I just blow your mind?

Why would anyone actually care this exists?
No one's making you play it.

Everyone knows that just how violent video games lead to real life violence - games based on infidelity lead to real life infidelity.

I'm also the greatest 18th Century Dictator due to all the time I have spent playing Europa Universalis IV.

I never really got the obsession our society seems to have with people being unfaithful. Interesting concept to be sure but...I just don't see the appeal of this game.

This game seems pretty lame TBH. I get where people would be ticked off at a game that is supposedly about cheating on your wife but when you compare this to a GTA V its pretty tame.

Outraged? Nope

Is it tasteless? A bit, yeah.

Is it funny? Drunk with friends, hell yeah it is!

Eh, it sounds boring to be honest. That's all I can say about it.

Also why would this be any worse than killing someone in games?

It's only a legitimate game if you can kill both the mistress and the wife in the end.

I don't really see much of a point, to be honest.

It seems like a scene in a David Cage-game. Not really enough to base a game on, so not much to comment on.

Sounds like a fun scenario, though I'm not one for puzzle games, so I wouldn't touch it personally. Still, pretty humorous little idea for sure.

Wonder if a wife-beating game would be laughed off as easily? Break her ribs, black her eyes and keep it under wraps from family, friends and neighbors.

However you paint it spousal abuse is spousal abuse, whether that be physical or emotional.
Not one to take the more extreme tack here, but it seems quite gauche regardless. I'm not entirely convinced that any sort of gameplay would be able to compensate for such a hackneyed plot.

One is forced to wonder what sort of demographic this appeals to.

Infidelity =/= spousal abuse. If it was part of a bigger systemic pattern then yes it could be considered as such but on it's own that doesn't just make it so.

In your world do people go to the police and seek prosecution/punishment for adultery? That's some biblical shit right there. Clearly the game has it's tongue firmly planted in cheek, a large chunk of the humour stems from the fact the vast majority finds the concept "wrong" - finding a way to laugh at the darker aspects of life is an age old concept and even cathartic.
