On the by, in the future I wanted to get a few games for the VC/Wiiware. It would be nice if someone told me which are better than others:

ActRaiser
Streets of Rage (1-3, haven't decided)
PhantasyStar (2-4, also haven't decided)
Lost Winds
StarFox64
One of the Mario games
One of the Sonic Games
and Secret of Mana

I also plan to get the Final Fantasy IV sequel 9 part game barrage they plan to throw at WiiWare in the future, or at least the first of them. It all depends on how it's priced.

You have too many Wii games to hate Nintendo at the moment.

I'm a PC Gamer with a roommate with a 360, so I had minimum expectations from my Wii. Basically, I wanted a interesting, different distraction for when I couldn't decide on a PC game to play. So even though I probably havn't gotten my moneys worth yet from buying the system (for $200 used...thank god for friends working in EB), I have played or watched nothing but good Wii games.

SSBB: I haven't played this game nearly enough, but still got a lot of fun out of it.

No More Heroes: Pay no attention to fact that its nothing more then a, "Spectacle fighter" with some incredibly simplistic mini games, and you will enjoy mowing down hoards of enemies.

Metroid: Roommate played, I watched. Was thoroughly appreciated.

Twilight Princess: Was played for about an hour. Good, but not for long.

House of the Dead: I will randomly put this in to play a level or 2. Love it.

Madworld: It could have been ET in game play, the announcers commentary makes the whole game worthwhile.

Boom Blox: A friend owns it, I need to play it. I hear nothing but good things.

Virtual Console games: Ah, nostalgia.

Im pretty happy with my Wii. Those are all the games ive played since I bought it, sure, but ive never been let down. A Gamer can enjoy the Wii, your just in for some extreme disappointment if you don't have a different system as your primary platform.

I don't have many wii games as I don't play it all that much, but my collection consists of:
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl
-Mercury Meltdown Revolution
-HOTD 2&3 Return
-Zack and Wiki
-No More Heroes
-Wii Sports
I also used to have, but sold, Super Mario Galaxy (Pretty fun overall, but I didn't see myself replaying it) and Nights: Journey of Dreams (Stay away from this one. No fun at all.)

I thought I would post in this thread again.

(I edited what was in this bubble. I accidentally ranted about an issue in another thread of mine.)

Let's talk about some new games that came out.

The Monkey Island game was released on WiiWare. It is the first episode in five and I've heard nothing but good things about it. I have not acquired it as of yet, and I'm wondering just how long the episode is.

Little King's story recently came out. Once again, I'm wondering how good it is and if I should get it.

There are a few rpgs coming out this year. Outside of Muramasa and Arc Rise Fantasia, I also heard of the approaching DragonQuest and something about a new Tales game in the works. Does anyone know of any others?

A game I came across recently on a preview is called something to the likes of 'Mini Ninjas', and it looks like a game where you play as four or more ninja and turn enemies into pandas and other harmless animals. It looks freakishly awesome and sickeningly cute at the same time. I have no idea when it's coming out.

It's an older game, but I recently came in possession of Sam&Max. I had pleasant memories of the first Sam&Max that ever came out, as well as the cartoon series, and this bundle of episodes does not disappoint. Mind you, I have not played them all yet, but it was conclusively worth the bargain bin prices. If you are into point&click adventure games, witty dialogue, and evil bunny-things, then this is a game you should consider.

Well, what sort of games do you like? I could always give you a few suggestions.

Okami
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves
Super Mario Galaxy
Wii Sports
Madden NFL 07 Wii
Mario Kart Wii
Super Paper Mario
The Conduit

Technically the Wii is my brother's, not mines. However, I was the one who got some of the good games, including Okami, Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart Wii, and The Conduit.

My absolute favourite out of all the above would have to go to Okami. I've spent over 40 hours in that game and it was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and loved just about every category of it (visuals, gameplay, audio, etc.). I only paid $35 CAD for it but I would have gladly paid full price for this awesome game. Wish an Okami sequel would come out - its sad the original developers got disbanded. There's always hope for Amateratsu Okami to appear in Tasunoko vs Capcom though.

After that, I don't know what else. RE4, Legend of Zelda, SSBB, Super Mario Galaxy, and MP3 are all up in for 2nd place.

I am looking forward to Metroid Prime Trilogy in August. 3 awesome games for the price of 1, comes with enhancements to the first 2 games, and overall feels like a collector's edition. Considering I never really played the first 2 (only a bit of MP1), this will definitely be worth the money.

There are a ton of other Wii games to look forward to but I won't bother posting them all up here. I've also been interested in getting GCN controller/memory card to play GCN games. I basically missed out on a ton of things in the last generation of consoles.

For downloadable games, I got Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars from Virtual Console and I still have 1200 points left unspent. Super Mario RPG is a pretty darn good game for only 800 Wii points. Totally worth it, its fun and charming. I still haven't beaten it yet thanks to the classic "Make the last boss really hard and the last level really annoying to backtrack through so the player has to play for several more hours in order to get better items/more levels before beating the game".

If anyone is interested, I keep a list of "good Wii games", whether they're released or upcoming. There is quite a lot of good Wii games but not surprisingly, they don't receive the same amount of marketing and nearly no one knows anything except the 1st party titles.

Hmm, I thought I had posted in this topic already. Guess not.

Anyways, here's my extensive list of Wii games I own. Ones in bold indicate which ones I believe are definitely worth a purchase, in no particular order.

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Kart Wii
MadWorld
WiiSports Resort
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Twilight Princess
Link's Crossbow Training
(it's only $25)
WarioWare: Smooth Moves (better for a rental)
Rayman Raving Rabbids
WiiFit (My mom bought this one)
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (slightly better on 360/PS3)
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (definitely better on 360/PS3)
Guitar Hero: World Tour (mediocre no matter what system it's on)

Virtual Console

Super Mario Bros.
Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
Contra III: The Alien Wars/Super Probotector: Alien Rebels
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
F-Zero
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Punch-Out!!
Super Metroid
F-Zero X
Paper Mario
StarFox 64
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
(I still haven't started playing this)
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (Way too hard and frustrating)

WiiWare

LostWinds (hard to recommend for such a short game)
Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Episodes 1 through 4 (For Homestar Runner fans only)

Please note that these are by no means the only good games available for the system. There's plenty of great games that are already, and plenty more that are coming soon, especially next year.
