I sold back my Wii after owning it for 3 months. I'm not making the mistake of buying another Wii, no matter what letter they put at the end of that shit.

Switch? Are people planning to sell their consoles for the Wii-U or something?

I'll buy it when they show me those games that I love. What I'm saying is...

I just want F-Zero...

Probably, I would have to see how the controller is shaped in the back. The one right now, though cool with its screen, doesn't look very comfortable for long gaming sessions

I see no need... I play my hd games on my ps3 and 360

I don't ninty's gimmicks and the prospect of this sounds cool, but I can just get a PS Vita and get my ps3 experience handheld anyway... anyone else see ruin? Yeah, I want that!

Sorry, I don't see myself making a U-turn for a console like this.
You must know that on some roads it's even illegal to make U-turns *nods*

OT: It looks funny, though I dislike looking at my controller and my screen. Though no idea how that 100% works. I got my PS3 and PC though and they costed my a lot already and I am happy with them.
Maybe when it is super cheap I might. And when I got a job...:(

If I wanted a Wii U I'd simply tape an Etch-a-Sketch to my PS3.

I wasn't a fan of the Wiimote, but this... thing is just ridiculous.

Why would I?

1) Even if it's true that the WiiU has somehow better hardware, a) I doubt I'll see a difference from the PS3/360 versions of the games, I don't think any 3rd party developer's gonna bother go into hardcore console-specific optimization of multiplatform releases, and b) it's a current gen console. I already have 2 of those, I don't need another one. If it was the first of the next gen I would consider it, but right now it's just horribly late to the party.

2) The controller. I will reserve full judgement until I actually hold it of course, but it seems extremely uncomfortable. Human hands have a shape, and it sure isn't square.

3) Dual screen gameplay. It works on the DS, because the screens are right next to each other and the second screen is always in your vision and can switch to it if needed. But having to switch between a screen that's opposite you and high and one that's on your lap sounds like the most retarded idea ever.

4) Nintendo titles don't interest me. I'm 28 years old, I've had enough Mario and Zelda. I was given a Wii for free with a cell phone contract, and I only ever got 3 games for it. I doubt that's gonna change.

No fucking way. My Wii is a useless white lump with no games I want to play.
Nintendo made a fortune with the current business strategy; why would they change it now?
Therefore, I'm not wasting my time and money yet again on their products until they have something to actually show for it.

hell no. The Wii was the last disappointment i needed from Nintendo, screw them. This thing looks just as gimmicky as the Wii. Screw Nintendo, I'm done with them.

Frankly, i think a lot of people are fed up with Nintendo, especially after the Wii, and I see this new console crashing and burning faster than the 3DS

Basically this. I took out point 2 because that wasn't an issue to me.

I don't need another console for third party games of equal quality when I've got a nice list of trophies and friends on the PS3. If I wanted to play Nintendo games, I'd whip out my GameCube and play everything there. Or go on my PC and start up the N64 emulator. It's not like they've made anything new. Sure, I'll miss out on Kid Icarus, but I can live with that.

I will buy games for the 360, PS3 and Wii U depends on what console I think I will be able to

A: Play with more of my friends on
B: Get a better gaming experience(so if the touchpad has a good use)
C: Better exclusive game add-ons

Eh, at this rate I have a 360, I just bought a PS3 not too long ago, and I have no interest in motion gaming. So I already have the 360/PS3 for hardcore titles and my friends are on those. If they can show they have a good amount of quality exclusives I might consider buying one down the line.

No. Nintendo makes games for a market that isn't me. That's fine, I'm just not interested. Don't see any of the developers I actually like signing exclusivity deals with Nintendo either.

Nope. I already have a PS3 that's basically become a glorified blu-ray player. I play all my current games on 360, and I think we'll be hearing Xbox 720 rumblings at this time next year.

The Wii U feels more like a halfway point than a proper next gen console, so I'll save my money.

No thanks.
Nintendo never really captured my attention with any of the multi-platform titles and I was not a "core" Nintendo player in the retrodays. So not a chance.
On the other hand, I was a "core" Nintendo player back in the day.

But now? Nintendo is dead to me.

Between the Wii, 3DS, and Wii U, it's clear that Nintendo is completely and utterly out of touch with my wants, and so I'm just not going to waste my time with them anymore.

You know, the lack of motion controllers and touch screen on my PC never really made me feel like I was missing out anything...

My only issue is the Skyward Sword situation, will it be the same as Twilight Princess?

I don't want to buy a Wii to play Skyward Sword only for an improved version to be released a year later for Wii U.
