I was perusing TV Tropes when I stumbled upon this little gem [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Terminal_Event_Management_Policy].

I am absolutely speechless.

Of all my years in using Wikipedia to look up some random crap, finding links for papers, playing the Find Hitler [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiki_Game] game at a Deep Nines protected school and giving me cool ideas, I never imagined I would find something like this and I would like to share it with you all. Perhaps it is for the lulz. Perhaps it is for the admiration. It's probably for the lulz since wiki is taking the piss out of itself, but damned if I didn't think it was worth sharing.

I would like to quote Jimmy Wales' message to the stars:
"While the light of humanity may flicker and die, we go gently into this dark night, comforted in the knowledge that someday Wikipedia shall take its rightful place as part of a consensus-built Galactic Encyclopedia, editable by all sentient beings."

Heh. Wow...

EDIT: And then I saw the Humor tag. I feel like a total dupe.

Huh. I didn't know Wikipedia even had a humor section. I've only noticed April Fools day jokes in "in the news" box.

Haha, someone wrote up an incredibly well written and cited article on which way people prefer to hang their toilet paper :p
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toilet_paper_orientation That really got me by surprise.
