A while back, I was telling a friend of mine about lethal flesh eating bacteria found in dog poo. If you get dog poop in your eyes, the virus can spread to your brain. Which will eat away at you till you die. She thought it was hilarious (i meet some cool chicks sometimes) but i guided her to Wikipedia and suddenly a world of pain opened up.
We spent ages looking at all the different bacteria and diseases. Although it was kinda scary, it was really interesting. Hell if i know how to pronounce the latin names but hey..

You know them threads where they go "if you where stuck on an island....." Well i'm going that direction a bit so...my bad :p
If you decided to learn about something from Wiki what would you like to know?

Hell, I dunno.

*throws dart at the wheel of random*

The story behind the Winnipeg Jets; how they came to be, how they made it into the NHL, and why they had to move. That's as good of a place to start as any.

I generally hit the random button or look up stuff I hear about elsewhere. I start wherever or on a selected page.

I usually start with one link, then end up on something completely unrelated, after opening up 20 tabs.

Just today I learnt that Brandon Lee (The Crow) was Bruce Lee's son. My mind was blown!

Wikipedia is good for info but if you really want to be lost (more like traped) try tvtropes.

I would like to know that the reason you shouldn't put fish on the ground after fishing it is that a strain of bacteria that produces a neurotoxin might be transferred to that fish. And that that neurotoxin is sold commercially under the name Botox.

Serious answer: I would like to know something related to the workings of the universe, I guess. Or how to achieve true love/happiness.

Like his at the production of The Crow! I'm sorry...

I have a whole Wikipedia folder in my bookmarks, including sub-folders with topics. And sometimes I just click the random button and see where I go from there.

Probably the 20XX Toronto Blue Jays season, so I could find out what was currently going on if I missed a game.

I'd like to learn more about the Napoleonic Wars. Seems like an interesting time period.

I read up a lot on music theory, because I know little of it, and it's interesting how it's changed over time. I also like linking from every page on a page on something astrophysical.

I have a Wikipedia search bar on Firefox that I utilize almost daily-- generally it's to pursue references and allusions that I don't understand. Today, for example, I learned what a "juggalo" is after reading the term in a webcomic or something.

I've done this once, I learned about Quantum Physics and Theory and I ended up some how in the linage of the Japanese royal family. I also have randomly looked why blonds are called Tow heads and why it's called eavesdropping.

pretty much this
it's a shame sometimes, worst when im supposed to be revising
Yeah, because there is just so much information on Wikipedia that it's very easy to get sidetracked.

Whatever you do, don't use the random article button, or you may end up learning things that aren't nearly interesting enough for anyone to know about, such as the Norfolk Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Did you know that in 2009, 93.21% of the population where white? Or that the average household income was $34,907 per year?
