Please be using Frostbite 2, or something very similar, for the engine. From what they themselves stated on the 'Your wishlist for SWBF3', something like that would be the perfect engine.
I read some comments on that article about 'No, our consoles won't be able to run it'. I don't care. Please, come out with the great features listed on that page, and you will be loved forever. I JUST WANT MY SWBF3 GRAAAAH

This is the most exciting thing ever, the game had the best multiplayer of any other games I've played, except perhaps L4D2.
Anyway, what does everyone want to see from BF3? What factions would you want to see? What planets? What classes? What improvements?
I'm hoping for more of BF2 with maps the quality of BF1. Also more playable Jedi and for them to be more like the Jedi in Jedi Knight games
Also more space maps would be cool, with bigger ships and bigger maps and more players and more chaos.

The old Battlefront 3 footage was converted into Battlefront: Elite Squadrons on the PSP. It wasn't a bad game, but nowhere near as good as the console brethren.gigastar said:

I only played battlefront 2 rarely at a friends house so I am desperate to play a new 1, I would get battlefront 2 but I have heard it doesn't like windows 7 (same as kotor, which I never got a chance to play either!)
I loved both Battlefronts I and II, and, dear god, I want a third one with the same epicosity.
Also, I want the good maps of the first one. The second one's maps were horrible in comparison, being more tight enclosed spaces instead of the open battlefields.(See Rhen Var and original Geonosis)
Well I'm skeptical seeing as the developer who were making it went down during development and I haven't heard/read otherwise about the games revival/passing on. We will just have to wait and see. Additionally, I agree with the others posters in this thread. Pandemic made a good SWBF game. StormTroopers FTW!
If it's Pandemic somehow returning and making it, then I want that god-damn game.

This thread is making me feel so old, people talking about Battlefront 2 as being so old. Those two are some of my favorite games following the Battlefield mould, although BF1942 just beats them. Although as I grew up with it and it was my first proper foray into online multiplayer it does have a unfair advantage.
I liked the mode where you didn't lose until everyone on one side was actually dead, not just out of tickes. I remember several epic elite last 4 winning the game antics.
Give me AT-ATs, Space Battles and Godamn Epic Jedi Fights and I'm sold. Especially if they have the mode which is just heroes fighting.
