Will MW3 be the next CoD4

So, I know, people said this about MW2 and Black Ops, but when those were coming out, I admit, I thought MW2 would be like Jesus' second coming, and I was kinda burnt out on CoD when Black Cops came out. World at War WAS the next CoD4, because it was basically a mod of CoD4 with WW2 weapons.
But, MW3 will put the focus back on gunplay, it will remove most of the BS from MW2, and other things.
So what are your opinions on the statement in the OP?

Adding a new game mode doesn't make them any less similar. Survival Mode is basically Nazi Zombies with soldiers instead of zombies.

On 402's twitter, he talks about how things have been removed, tubes have been balanced, they are changing the melee system, they are changing the killstreak system, etc.

Things were things changed and added and removed with Black Ops but the gameplay was still exactly the same. The only difference was the weapons and a darker art direction.

Things were changed and added and removed with Black Ops but the gameplay was still exactly the same. The only difference was the weapons and a darker art direction.

The kill streak system was really detrimental to the game so even a slight change can make a noticeable positive difference.
I will be playing BF3 but I will play both eventually.

So your point is that it's a ?65($90) balance patch?

No it will be the next CoD. Nothing really special, just the same old CoD you've been playing before, with slightly shinier graphics, a small amount of changed details, and stupidly expensive map packs that you will have to buy if you want to remain in more than one game at a time.

I don't think it will be the next CoD4; there is now far too much emphasis on killstreaks and teamwork seems pretty dead; I remember the days on CoD4 when you could have a whole team using their mics in headquarters or search and destroy.
There haven't been any major changes since CoD4 which have in any way improved the series for me (on the contrary a few have made it worse). That and I've really hated the story modes for the last two games; MW3 doesn't show any sign of changing the formula in any way I think better of it; I might try the survival mode at a friend's but I'm not forking out £40-£45 for just that and I may not even like it.

There maybe a new point streak system that you get when you cap flags, get kills, assists and all that jazz

If they're focusing on gameplay then I'd like to see some unique gameplay. But I'm not. So they're obviously not spending that time on the gameplay.

As for balance, the game isn't out yet so we can't know for sure, but I'm sure it will be like every other Call of Duty where 75% of players will use the same 4-5 guns.
