Will my PC be able to run Skyrim well enough to enjoy it?

Sorry, but I know absolutely fuck all about computers and specs and whatnot, and I was just curious as to whether I should bother getting Skyrim for PC, or just settle for 360 (which I'd be a little dissapoint, but not too bad).

Anyways, there's a double wtf here, as I literally have no idea what any of my specs are, other than my computer brand name and the fact that I bought it early last year.

Also, I don't even know if they've released the requirements to run it yet, so there's that.

So, yeah, that's it. Any advice appreciated greatly. Many, many, thanks in advance, fellow knowledgeable Escapists...

Done and done. Sorry about the long response time, again, but... y'know that blasted need for sleep and all. :p

Thanks again!

Integrated graphics? Probably on very, VERY low settings at low FPS. Consider buying a GTS 430 or something.

So I'd just need a better graphics thingie? I can do this. I see this one sells for around 50-60 bucks. I'd be willing to spend up to around 100 if it's worth it, if anyone knows a better one a that price.

Skyrim Minimum System Requirements

* OS: Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7
* CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or Althon X2 2.0 GHz
* RAM: 3 GB
* HDD: 15 GB
* Graphics: 512 MB card
* Sound Card: DirectX 9 Compatible
* DirectX: Version 9.0c

You tick all the boxes to run it, it might not be optimal but you will still be able to play.
A new gfx card could be a good idea.

Your lack of knowledge leaves you open to being ripped off left right and centre. If you can, have someone you know and trust to look at the computer.
It's all well and good people here saying do this, add that, but if you can't fit it yourself or troubleshoot any issues, then you are basically up shit creek without a paddle.

Well, I'm pretty ok at installing things, I think. I just have no concept of the hot new equipments. I haven't upgraded a PC since early 2002, but I've installed extra drives, graphics cards, etc. before.

And I'm sure if I had the time to put effort into researching it all, I could, but I was just hoping my fellow Escapists could help me out and save me a bit of effort. I'd like to think I'm not naive enough to get ripped, but then again, doesn't everyone? :)
