Most likely, yes. I'll wait until it comes out and look at the reviews and such but it seems like it's shaping up to be a pretty great game.
I'd like to take a step-back and take a look at the game objectively, consider that it probably won't live up to the hype, that it'll probably get boring after the first couple of hours... that sort of thing.

You freaking kidding me? An open world, zombie FPS with RPG elements? It's like some developer took my dream game's ideas and made it true; buying it in a heartbeat.

First they make a kick-ass trailer to set an awesome mood. Then they ruin that mood by adding farcical, silly nonsense (electric machete and ONE-LINERS) akin to Dead Rising. THEN they actually release that gameplay footage which shows the world to be just gorgeous. So, yeah can't tell.

I'm tired of zombie cliches not just because of AAA zombie focused games. There are tons of zombie related games in xbox arcade, various zombie mods on many games, zombie game-modes like in Black Ops, zombie movies, zombie TV shows, and there is even zombology- the study of zombies... It's just bloody everywhere now and you can't escape it. My university even has a special "Humans vs Zombies" nerf gun game going on where one team plays as humans with nerf guns while the other team plays as zombies and have to tag them to infect them. It's like beating a dead horse now. Except its a zombie horse that keeps coming back...Ironic Pirate said:
Edit: If there is a zombie game where you play as a zombie who spreads the infection from the beginning and become more powerful as you progress in the game, then that would be a little different and may actually be fun. I'm just tired of the "zombies everywhere, you need to kill them to survive" type of zombie game.
Edit 2: Another reason why I'm tired of zombies is because I have more than 1000 hours into L4D2 and probably about 4 or 500 in L4D1, not including all the other zombie games I've played.

Me too, I cant wait for this to happen since I have been waiting for this since Dead Rising came out, and it has cars too, it looks really fun to me.TheYellowCellPhone said:

Borderlands + Dead Rising sums this game up pretty well.
Though my fear is that like Borderlands it gets quite dull 75% through the first runthrough and so forth. Never played Dead Rising, but i know the Timer in the game will annoy me.
I never really bought games Vanilla because of patches, inevitable DLC, and pricing. Though i do eventually get them when they become super cheap or is bundled with all the official DLCS.
Steam is my life-saver.

I am pretty sure, yes. It looks like Just Cause meets Left 4 Dead. Which fucking rocks.

I suppose the game play could be really broken, which would make me hesitate. I've seen the videos of the gameplay though, and it looks pretty damn good. So I'm hopeful it turns out to be a great game.
