I going to discuss a philosophical debate of ones worth though out history.
The Need for one to be remembered later on in history, will you be remembered or, if your are not remembered will your work impact society and history or not.

While thinking of history we think of names such as George Washington , Augustus Caesar, Charlemagne or even Nikola Tesla. There are also the thousands, if not millions or even billions of nameless, faceless solders who fought in wars shaping history. the Men and Women who made one visionaries dream possible, people like Leonardo Da Vinci, Aristotle or Stephen Hawking. Or even the guy who program my spell-checker I used with Fire Fox.

The thing is, only time will tell, only time will say will people talk about Barack Obama, Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange or m00t founder of 4 Chan 50 or even 500 years from now.

I don't know if I'll be remembered but I do have a habit of leaving a mark of sorts at places I've spent some time. On reflection I couldn't really tell you why specifically I do that, I just do. Also the form isn't really important, it can be anything from carving something in a tree to hiding those neat Prison Break style origami ducks. I've literally hidden about 40-50 of those in the ceilings of all sorts of buildings over the years. It's become a bit of a sport really.

Probably not. Not unless I change my life and start doing important stuff. Hell, I don't think my own family will probably remember me past 10 years after I'm gone. Who would you remember, the guy who spent the majority of his life at home playing video games and collecting music or the guy who went out and... I don't know, directed a movie or something.

Personally, I think we'll remember Obama for a couple hundred years, Julian Assange for less than a year, and m00t for about another 5.

To a handful of people, definitely. To society in general, not at the moment, although I hope that will change given time.

I will be. Maybe not on the same grounds as Washington and the rest of them, but I'll be remembered. There's a law in my home town about the train tracks about how close you can be to them and when you can and cannot be there thats called Anthony's Law.

FYI, I'm Anthony.

I don't think I would be remembered but I hope that through my life I will do/make/create something that people will remember because it has ingrained itself into part of society. That's wishful thinking though:p

I won't even be remembered in the internet chat room that was the only place where I was popular or well known, since I am one of the last regulars not to leave.

I will be known as the Bi-Polar Lawyer!!!

Plus if I ever come to power, I promise to be the best MEGALOMANIAC I can be.!!!

Hell no.

I'll die alone and regretful after spending my entire life working at a terrible job with people I hate who won't even notice I'm gone. Makes me really want heaven to exist.

After humanity is gone, these precious little remnants of individuals gone by will be like tiny museums of our whole society. You can forget the politicians, the inventors, the revolutionaries: when our species - or at any rate, our civilisation - is dead, the little things people like you leave behind will be where the true value lies.

I don't much care. I'm just a nameless, faceless soldier who fought in some morally ambiguous wars... and I'm glad I lived through 'em.
