Back to the topic, I probably won't be remembered. Than again being remembered is kind of a luck of the draw thing. Sometimes during joint achievements only one person gets remembered. Think of all the famous statues and buildings that we remember one main person as building. We completely forget all the other guys who helped perfect the design or all the little guys that built it in the first place. I just hope I contribute to something that will be remembered.

All of us will be forgotten eventually. Maybe you leave something behind that people remember. We all know that James Watt invented the steam engine, but not many of us remember James Watt, the man.

Personally, I wouldn't really mind being forgotten. Just like death is a part of life, eventually being forgotten is a part of death. That doesn't mean I don't want to leave some positive impact on the world, but I think my need for external validation will end when my heart stops beating.

Question: is it better to be remember by people you know or those close to you? What I am thinking about specifically is like you neglecting your family to be remembered in history for something or not.
