I will be forgotten within a decade of my death. Not much to be done about it.

At this point in my life, I would rather not be remembered for my exploits.

...unless a a robot zombie alien apocalypse happens, and I'm one of the brave few who sacrifices herself in a Last Stand tactic to save the last hundred people boarding the space shuttles off earth.

As I run out of bullets, I look up into the sky, watching the departing plumes of humanity. As if they sense the gravity of the situation, the robot zombie aliens surround the last human on Earth, giving me a few precious moments of introspection before converging on me en masse.

Years later, with humanity tentatively surviving on Mars, a hybrid entity is being grown by the new masters of Earth. Part robot, part zombie, part alien, part human...

...and All Powerful Monarch of the Next Invasion Force, destined for Mars.

Vaguely, probably. Studying to be an architect, so chances are I'll build things that'll stick around after I'm gone. Then again, I'm not too bothered about being remembered. I'll be dead. Won't matter to me if anyone gives two shits about anything at all.

Absolutely butchered old English, but completely agreed.

When you die, you will have no mind nor senses, so it is completely irrelevant if you are remember or not - eternal nothingness.

Edit: I haven't answered the question.

I don't know yet whether or not I will be remembered, but should it become that important to me I can tell you this:

I will make certain that I am, through whatever means necessary.

Second Edit: It doesn't actually matter at all anyway, as we would only be remembered by the human race, which is (in the grand scheme of things) a tiny fragment of existence that itself will be forgotten soon.

I don't really care, as long as I manage to start a family and my kids remember me. For me it's not how I'll be remembered after my journey to the end, it's the journey itself, that matters.

At least that's my take on it.

You have no idea how much this thought plagues me. In the end, I know I probably will not be. I wanted to leave my mark on this world, and at least be mentioned or remembered for years to come. I'm 26 now, and I'm not some famous singer, and I haven't written any groundbreaking novels, and thats pretty much the only two things I can do. Write, and sing, and I can't seem to combine the two skills. It looks as if I'm fated to fade into obscurity.

Maybe. I'm confident at least some people will remember me for around one or two generations after my death. Though whether or not I will make any significant impact on history only time will tell.

At least I still (hopefully) have a lot of time left.

I damn well better be remembered. I've helped out a great many people, achieved a fair amount and have a very unique and friendly personality. I think I deserve to be remembered ;)

Phht. No.

Only the extremely arrogant or utterly deluded believe their memory will outlast their lifespan by any significant degree.

I honestly don't know why people obsess over being remembered.

Yes, my friends and family will. I have left word with my brother, who will be the executor of my estate, to start a thread and tell people here I am gone and then PM a mod to lock my account. I have taken measures to make sure my friends at many locations, who only have my telephone number, will also be informed.

In the Army, we are told to set our affairs in order before we go anywhere. I may be leaving next July so I am reading things now.

I highly doubt it.

Even if i got my name in the paper it would probably be for something tiny and daft which would be forgotten about within a few DAYS of it being shown.
