Yo man no sense in being CynicalMackheath said:The public are sheep essentially; politics is so boring and convoluted many of us simply watch the news and do the classical random choice, hoping for the best. Very few of us-myself included- bother to even learn the candidates manifesto's because we are so uninspired by these dwarfs standing in the shadows of giants.
We all know very well our rulers are scum; we know they want to line their own pockets and leave the crumbs for Joe B. Logg. And yet still they vote, election after election, never trying for change, just stumbling blindly onwards and hoping against the wind for some new Kier Hardie to come along.
Of course they aren't paid to serve themselves; they never were. But they are above reproach; even during the first days of the Expenses Scandal several MP's arrogantly tried to claim they were above the law, and so became sacraficial lambs for the rest of the corrupt congregation to take Communion of. The only reason they bother to even keep the country going instead of shoulder-barging for the cookie jar of cash is because that would impact their dreamy idealistic lifestyles, something they hate more than the proletariat.
I hope you do change the country, and wish you luck; but at the moment I feel as though you have as much chance of making things better as I do of going to the Moon. Not because of you, but because of the 400 years of tradition, law, beaurocracy and greed surrounding the job.
Trust me determination is everything. Prime Example: Abraham Lincoln
If anything Politics are a passion of mine as well.....mainly so I can abuse every bit of power I can..Hehehehe. Oh well if anything I applaud those who would pursue the world of Politics with an unbreakable integrity. Reminds me of Mr. Smith goes to Washington.
