I'm having issues with it and I can't seem to find anything about it. So, I figured I'd come here and ask you for your help. Maybe someone here knows what's going on.

I use Windows Movie Maker to make AMVs and I run on Vista. I have two different footage series that I use and they work just fine. Always have.
Just yesterday, I added a new one. It's in WMV format, I know for fact that it is not corrupted, but every time I try to publish a video with any clips from it in there, it has an error message saying a problem has occurred and needs to close.

I'm completely at a loss. The files are kind of big (well, bigger than my other ones) but I don't know of any size specifications that WMM has.
There's no reason I can find for it to be doing this.

Can anyone please help me?

Well Vista is crap compared to Xp to perhaps that is your problem. Try making it on a machine that is not using Vista.

PS. Anime AMV's are crap.
Stop trolling. That's completely unneeded, and just shows how much of an ignorant moron you truly are. Respect people's opinions.

OT: Hmm, I used to have a problem like this before, but, I contacted Microsoft and they told me how to fix it. I'm not exactly sure what they said, though, as it was a few years ago.

Windows Movie Makers is a terrible program that enjoys randomly crashing and corrupting your files.

Not trying to troll or anything, but I've had terrible experiences with it using both XP and Vista.

That's like saying ATM Machine...

On a side note, I to have a question about WMM. How do you make it so you speed up segments of a video? Do you split that parts you want to speed up, then do something to them?

I run and edit my brother's Let's Play videos, so I'd like to figure this out, so as not to have to cut EVERYTHING OUT so much.

No, I know it's a terrible program. Though, I've had better experiences with it on Vista than I have on XP...until now.

As for Vista being a terrible program, it's all about opinion. I prefer XP however, I didn't have a choice when my computer crashed a few months ago. All that was available with new computers was Vista. Trust me, I would've taken XP if I could have.

As for AMVs being "crap," it's also a matter of opinion. Some people put random clips and some people try to work out timing with the song, put thought into it, etc. Though I do know many people dislike AMVs and it's for their own reasons. Not much I can say there.

If you mean the entire thing, there's an effect under "Video Effects" called Speed Up.

If you mean a random part so that the video would go: normal pace, sped up, normal pace, then you will have to cut it up and separate it into parts and speed up the parts you want.

I believe it's another program you use. Not so sure. I don't use it.

Good question
It might have to do with the type of file. But like before, I don't use it. I use Pinnacle Studio 12 for my videos.

It could be but the ones I've been using for forever are WMV and the new one is WMV as well. Which is why I'm totally stumped. xD
