Not necessarily. Really what would happen to have wings (and be able to actually fly) would be shrinking (every part of the body) in order for the bone mass to be lifted. Plus you'd have to have the body of a professional runner. Wings could sprout from the back or the shoulders in order to keep the full function of the arms. Alternatively you could keep limited hand/arm use by having the wings come out under the arm similar to a bat.

I'd like to be able to re-grow limbs like a lizard. Or maybe having the ability to jump really high/far like a tick (it is the tick that can do that). Finally I would LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to be able to have the acrobatic skill (and tail) of a monkey.

Hmm. It's a tie between two.

An octopuses brand of camouflage. Useful for obvious reasons, as I'm more of a stealth brand of fighter.

Or having a nocturnal animal's vision, like an owl. I would LOVE to be able to see in the dark, and to see moving creatures in pitch black from miles away. It'd make me feel a lot safer at night, that's for sure.

Provided I can have wings with relatively little downside(as in they are just there now, no visible lose and no lose of other organs/systems) then those. But I would like to be fit and have extremely strong, light wings, why you ask? Do you know how badass it would be to have somebody attack you with something but only to fold your wings around you and negate their attack.

...shaddup! A man can dream!

Otherwise? I think maybe eyes of a cat, I don't know if they improve anything but dammit do I love the way they look.

Hmmm. If I could have one ability from an animal, it'd be the survivability of a water bear. Can live up to 10 days in a vacuum, can last a decade without water, can withstand 1000 more radiation than humans, and can surive temperatures as low as -273 Celcius to 151 Celcius.

whalepowers! i can spend roughly 30 seconds under water, but with gills, that could be infinite!
also i could withstand immense pressure, and eat plankton, without trouble(wait what?)
and i would be strong

oh sht only one, i would go with whale-underwater-survivability, (the pressure and gills combined)

ALSO! none of you guys could fly, you are too heavy. having wings does not grant the magic ability to fly. birds have special hollow bones that make them lighter, and blablablabla
(ostriches have wings, and they can't fly either. they are too heavy!)

If you had wings, you would not be able to fly. You would need an aerodynamic shape, hollow bones, lack arms, and possibly grow feathers all over your body to maintain the flight. You'd be a bird. A big bird. You'd need really big wings too then. Like really really big. Unless you decide to shrink.
well..
fck..

I would want the ability fish have for their cells to produce their own antifreeze. You can never get frostbite. It also making cryogenics really easy, its easy to freeze someone its hard to thaw them out without their cells bursting.

I want the endurance of a wolf, they have slow twitch muscles that let them run far longer and faster then us, while using less energy.

The only thing that makes humans human isn't something from evolution, humans as a species have been around for a long time. It was certain minor mutations that let people break down mental barriers. Do you know how long is would take someone to figure out that things can be multiple things, using a stick as a lever arm to throw a spear farther and faster? When humans first became their own species the difference between them and their ancestral species were minor. There were those few weird ones that discovered causation that allow societies to form, they also why art is able to exist rather then things being purely tools they can be art as well, think the ornate details on weapons. Mankind has stopped its own evolution, there are no traits valued more then others as our societies now try to protect everyone.

Humans cannot evolve as long as society exists, societies innately go against survival of the fittest, usually.

A Tail-It would make Parkour even more awesome.

Would wings replace my arms or would they be like Angel wings?

Probably the strength of Rhinocerous Beetle.
I'd liked to have the strength of an Ant because it is the strongest animal alive (pound per pound).
If you had ant strength, you'd collapse under your own weight. It's the cube-square law, making it so that a tiny ant seems impressively strong. If you made an ant 10 times bigger, it would be 100 times stronger but 1000 times heavier. Go for gorilla strength.

I choose ultra-longevity. Either the lifespan of a turtle, which can live to 200, or one of those jellyfish that turn into babies with their entire lives ahead of them at a moment's notice.

OP:
I do not want ANY animal adaption, humanity is perfect in it's evolution in my opinion.
... Seriously? I know most of us don't really need to be super fast or strong, considering our lifestyle, but still, as far as physical prowess goes, humanity is pretty pathetic overall. I'd hardly call that perfect.

Personally, I'd rather have the senses of an animal than one's physical traits. Super-hearing, mostly.
The senses are a tolorable change I suppose but to actually change us physically will make us no longer human.
Humanity is the greatest thing in existance in my opinion and I am very stubborn in that opinion, no-one has ever been able to convince me otherwise.
That's a good reason for hating humanity right there: we're full of ourselves.

Still, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume that you meant "the greatest thing on Earth." It still sounds ridiculous to me, but whatever. If, however, you actually meant the greatest thing in existence, then you, madame, are an ass.
Ok, I'm an ass then.
By the way did you know I think it's humanity's right/destiny to control the galaxy and be the masters above all the other races?
Wait... Is that racism? I am not sure.

OP: I cant remember if I have already posted on this thread but id go Platypus claws. Sharp and Poisonous.
