Oh yeah, this guy.

William S. Sessions was the FBI director who literally coined the phrase "Winners Don't Use Drugs." This phrase was a mainstay of the 90s arcade era that was included in the outstanding majority of coin-op machines in the United States. Usage began in 1989 and continued all the way to the year 2000. Although he was forced out of the FBI long before his slogan was discontinued, he lives on as an unsung, yet revered icon of gaming past.

So, how will you/should we celebrate this momentous occasion?

At the very least go find a local arcade with some pocket change.

Linkage:
http://www.arcadefly.com/- Find arcades near you.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_S._Sessions- More information than you would ever want to know about Mr. Sessions.

It would not be the worst thing ever if the conversation turned into a discussion of arcade games or arcades in general.

Yeah, I randomly looked it up yesterday and was surprised to find out that his 81st birthday was actually today.

Huh, kudos to him then. Seems a bit random, but eh. I've kudos'd stranger things. Such as that one pit of shark-gorrilas.

That was a odd day.

Perhaps he should have used drugs then?

When you're not looking, the kitty steals half the food and then puts on it's "You never feed me" face. Don't be fooled.

I like how when you changed the name of the topic, it started getting replies...

But yeah I remember seeing that logo at arcades years ago... didn't know it had a story behind it. I miss arcades, though... I have no good arcades near me. I even checked on that website and there were none. Oh well, happy birthday FBI dude.

I'd celebrate by snorting a line of cocaine off a hooker's ass (in an arcade!), but unlike Dr. Rockso, I don't do cocaine... and I don't know any hookers.
Still, that would be the most appropriate way to celebrate.

Weird to think that as long as an older arcade game exists this random dude's name will live on for coining a dorky phrase.

So this definitely proves that Charlie Sheen is not actually winning

Yeah, it was meant as a half joke post half reminiscence of arcades post. The original thread title sucked, this one is more accurate and less shit.

I still want to know how Mr. Sessions would propose winning a drug using contest.
