So I was watching Whitechapel with my mom. It's a crime series where there are murders who are based around certain periods of history, like the Jack The Ripper killings and witch hunts.

And one dude gets tortured to death by having weights placed on his stomach until his entire ribcage breaks. No, no, it's OK, I didn't really want to keep that dinner anyway.

Anyway, that's a bit irrelevant. In one of the seasons, there's a man with ergotism. Being the curious person I am, I looked it up, and it was apparently a decease caused by eating moldy rye in the 16th century.

One of the symptoms? Gangrene. Having heard of it, but never seen pictures of it, I looked it up and-

WHY DID I LOOK THAT UP?! WHYYYYY?!

Err not sure if this count per say seeing how I originally seen it via a email sent by a friend.

If I recall it was something about the turth or sushi or rather that you shouldn't eat them "too fresh". Apparently this person ate them fresh on a daily basis until his head started to itch. Needless to day maggots were involved which included an image or two!!!!

Ok granted I read somewhere that story was false but none the less the images are still very haunting (don't care if the image were real or not, it was disturbing)!!!

I suppose the unseen image I actually did looked up. I remember getting disturb by this manga called GYO (Japan was invaded by rotten fish on robot legs and it infect and turn people into rotten dead people with robot legs!!) and for some reason I look up more of it!

OT: It must sound comparatively tame, but it was a Chernobyl documentary on the Discovery Channel. I hadn't thought about it much before, but the radioactive heat and the vomiting and blackening of skin...more than the usual shock material, it was unexpectedly harrowing. As a big Junji Ito fan, Gyo isn't even his most disturbing work (Nor do I think it's one of his best. I was never a fan of the second half.)

That being said, you'd probably want to stay away from anything by Shintaro Kago or Waita Uziga.
