Oh, I see. Those are characters from the books. Well, being an English-only speaker, I have only read The Last Wish and Blood of Elves, so unfortunately a lot of Witcher story/canon and its characters is unknown to me, at least until more translations are released, which is taking ages.

As for Lady of the Lake, isn't she set to remain on that little island in the lake forever? If so, it wouldn't make much sense to see her in Witcher 2 since the game isn't set anywhere near Vizima/Wizim.

I really hope that after The Witcher 3 they continue producing more, similar type games based in the same world. The original Witcher was too much hard work, and The Witcher 2 was hard work too but a damn sight easier to get into, however both have absolute class RPG elements in them, and number 2 is a cracking game when you finally manage to break through it's outer shell.
:) I'd actually like to see princess Ada - striga FPS (first person slasher, lol). But I think after Witcher 3 no one will bother with anything from Sapkowski's world anymore. They'll probably do some terrible Batman game and go belly up. :(

Except if it turned out to be a Batman Beyond game. That'd be so damn sweet

Wait, how did we get to Batman?

That was the first comics hero that came to my mind? :)

:) Keira is in Witcher 1, even if for few seconds, speaking with Triss in a cutscene. And I think Iorveth or dwarfs or both mention her and Francesca a lot, if you go Iorveth's way.

I don't know much about the Lady. Still, I felt there were too few female roles, when I remember W1 and Abigail, Adda, the Lady, Shani (!), well even Alina and Celina... this, or at least Iorveth's path, was quite masculine. Saskia and Philippa were cool but barely enough to get some balance (ok, add Cynthia but that still doesn't mean a lot).

Ah, now I recognise the name. Francesca is the leader/queen of Dol Blathana, yes? I thought the name seemed somewhat familiar. And it's cool to know who the woman is that speaks with Triss in that mirror. I always wondered who she was and why she played no part in the plot later.

And yeah, but there are much less characters in Witcher 2 than in the first game. The payoff is they are much more in-depth as a result. Many of the characters in the first game were rather standard or generic, which isn't the case in the second. Besides, there are plenty of good female characters to go around. Síle de Tansarville for example, is one of my favourite Witcher characters now.

It would be a shame to see such a fertile world forgotten about :(

I'd love to see an RPG spin off simply titled "The Witchers", in which you could create your own character and continue the story of the Witchers on your own terms. Obviously the odd cameo would be great :)
I'd like to play Triss or maybe Yennefer, lol, something like when there is Ender's Game and then the other one, Ender's Shadow is it called? About the same story but from the perspective of someone else.

Besides, even Philippa says at the end, that Triss has many secrets hidden from Geralt. Since Triss/Yennefer are to a degree different persons or blends of various heroes (from the books, Ciri comes to mind, for example), it might be that she is not what she seems to be (I don't know if Triss just toys with Geralt in the books, though from what I've heard it is actually Yennefer who manipulated Geralt nastily before she was abducted). S othere could be a great scope to play it out again but totally from different perspective. Although Triss in W2 was sweet and cute, so I'd prefer someone took Yennefer and made her into cold-heart *****, lol, because all this time I never cared for miss Y., she was someone meant to be saved by me but clearly in the third game - whereas Triss was always near and I just couldn't understand developers trying to sell me my love for Yennefer when Triss was there and up for grabs. I know it makes sene in the books but inthe games, it feels artificial. Especially when Triss is helping me to find Yennefer, who apparently will replace her in my heart once she is saved. What responsible girl would help to save her competitor, tell me? :p

:) That's why I read wikia for witcher, to know more about the world and lol I gave you actually links to Keira and Francesca above, did the forum remove them? Anyway, yes Dol Blathanna "Free" Elves Kingdom and it's fabled beauty, Francesca. Really, Philippa would need a competition, once Triss was out of picture in chapters 2 and 3...

In depth, yes. Sile is cool but I think she hangs out on Roche's path, right? :)

When do you hear of this in the story?
What " this " you precisely mean? :) One of my posts or someone else's? If it's on Francesca, I think Iorveth's lectures Geralt on the kingdom of "Free" Elves and how it is just a scam to hide it is a vassal of Nilfgaard. During the dialogue you get to hear about Francesca, too - but I may be mistaken, lol. But I'm dead certain someone discuss's her at some point, actually even twice since I remember someone referring to her as an old hag (she is sorceress and apparently the oldest from the pack, older than Philippa).

She's a major character in both arcs, but she does feature more predominantly on Roche's path. Still, her involvement in Chapter 1 and 3 is major regardless of what path you take in chapter 2.

Good shout. I really like Triss as a character, and a game which explores her POV would be great.

the whole Triss Vs Yennefer thing had me wondering too. I guess Triss helps Geralt simply out of "love" for him and a desire to see him happy. But it does seem a bit odd.
Just imagine those magic skills tree's abilities! :) And the possibility to dress up, buy new clothes, shoes, miniquests of dressing up as sexy as possible for some party at the royal palace... :)

I believe they weren't happy displaying love from Triss as an unhappy one and made Geralt to have the feeling for Triss as well. I think they've missed some really deep plot there, because up until I played W1, I read and presumed Triss was unhappily in love; in a love triangle where Geralt didn't love Triss but Yennefer and Yennefer, as based on hearsay from books I haven't read yet, was just manipulating Geralt into a relationship with her because it suited her and her plan of genetical re-engineering as far as Ciri was concerned. Don't know, maybe they just weren't happy to have Yennefer away and the only other female in love with G to be not loved back, so they just took the easier path?

No doubt, it's just me complaining and asking for more female lead roles? :) Especially princess Adda? :))

The 3rd installment really has the potential to be something superb, as it won't be restricted by any further direct sequels, so that could see things escalate considerably in the romance department!
I don't want things escalating in the romance department! I want to see Triss flirting, in her bathrobe, covering Geralt's ass and even then escalating her sexy weapons, if need be! :) I care not for Yennefer's department. Or Adda's distraction. :)

Well I certainly wouldn't grumble at seeing that lol. Although I think Geralt is enough of a real man to handle more than one women. Certainly they ought to have a threesome ending in there lol ;), maybe Triss & Geralt uses Yennefer for sex then Triss slits her throat? ha ha
Or Triss and Yen leave together leaving Geralt alone? ;)
