The horns are only the first stage of the transfiguration and it's happening all too late in their life. I did not realize that mortals had such short lifespan.

I've never knew keratosis can get this severe. I've seen the Human Papillon Virus and tumors cause similar things. But this is supposedly the same things that are warts/patches on old people and corns and calluses on everyone else.
