So I came across this article and I thought it was a good laugh.
Used the searchbar up there and well it didn't pop up.

While playing video games often becomes a serious relationship issue due to the amount of time required for the hobby, one Utah woman decided to trade her husband in for a model that plays fewer video games.

Twenty-one year old Alyse Baddley recently placed an ad on Craigslist to sell her husband after twenty-two year old Kyle Baddley spent three days constantly playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 after the launch of the extremely popular first person shooter on November 8. The text of the ad stated ?I am selling my 22 year old husband. He enjoys eating and playing video games all day. Easy to maintain, just feed and water every 3-5 hours. You must have Internet and space for gaming. Got tired of waiting so free to good home. If acceptable replacement is offered will trade.? Alyse Braddley had joked to her mother-in-law that she would list Kyle on Craigslist if he didn?t stop playing the war-based video game.
So the question is, would you buy / sell your significant other who is playing to much games? And if you would, what pricetag would there be on your significant other?

I'd sell my mother for a pack of gum, assuming I haven't already. You tell me if I'd sell my significant other.

um, isn't this slavery? you can't own people, and therefore can't sell them, or even give them away.

It can be seen as a joke. To make him aware of his habits. Just like we used to put our Prime Minister on the dutch version of Ebay. Just because.. well.. We needed money (as a nation mind you).

I would get rid of some one if they played a game for 3 days straight without doing much else. I can imagine it now, when they finally want to make conversation I think I would just tell them to go back to their game because I'm busy, or something...

Well, as a gamer myself I probably wouldn't sell a gaming wife, I mean we did get married after all, and I mean we actually share interests, and game addiction probably means company without incessant nagging to stop playing. :)

Still, if I was going to sell a wife I'd probably go for about $100,000 if she was in good health. The organs (kidneys, liver, heart, bone marrow, nerves, etc...) would probably fetch twice that much on the medical black market. Most people probably think in terms of sex slaves, but if I'm out to profit on human trafficing and misery the illicit medical trade
is probably going to be far more lucarative. I mean a disposable sex slave might be fun and get you some money, but a rich guy who needs a transplant right now is going to be willing
to pay top dollar. If I'm going to totally fall into being an inhuman sociopath I might as well do it right.

This isn't to do with their age, but his behaviour. I'm 23 and my wife is 22. We're very happy - perhaps because I don't ignore her to play my games.
Not saying that it necessarily applies to all young married couples, but let's say that a saddening amount of people are not exactly mature enough for that kind of commitment at that age.

You thought about this into creepy lots of details. It happens I need a kidney. Wanna trade for MW3?

Found the "Easy to maintain-" line absolutely hilarious, "Just water every 3-5 hours" indeed xD

I'm afraid he only plays MW3. So if you want a 15th prestiger in no time he's your ticket.
Not sure if he will unlock all titels and emblems though :p

Hahaha, that's hilarious. Must feed and water every 3-5 hours... sounds like my boyfriend as well >_<!
He isn't that bad, he'll get off the xbox if I ask him and I've asked if he could not go on his xbox on Sunday so we can spend the day together.
I want a crate of Baileys for him :3!

Good for you (not sarcasm, FYI), but it isn't always that way. A lot of people get married too young, and it doesn't go well.

One thing to consider is the reasons people get married. A good friend of mine got married at 22, to a 19-year-old woman, and I think a lot of the haste came down to the fact that they're very Christian and had agreed to no sex before marriage. Naturally, they'd want to get married and start humping as soon as possible, but it hasn't made for the best marriage. They both love each other, but they also fight a hell of a lot and I sometimes worry that they won't last.

It has to do with the fact that he married the wrong woman if he wants to be a gamer. She complains that he waited in line for a "video game" and said it like a child would wait for cotton candy.

This is just comprehension issues.

I'm outraged! When I tried to order an 18 year old cheerleader, the judge specifically told me that craigslist couldn't be used for buying and selling people! I have court order to prove it! Why is she above the law?

Yes yes, I've gotten that badge as well.

Has that sister of yours gotten any good bids yet?
