Would you care to back up your statements? I can't get much from, "It sucks".

It's slow, it's faulty, it requires a lot more power than XP.

And it costs a lot, compared to XP + good programs to make up for Vista's features.

Which are not enough to justify why Microsoft is forcing Vista down our throats.

Vista is just the new Millenium - morons bought it and tried to defend, then came out a superior version without the errors and mistakes.

Funnily enough, you might actually have a case.
Microsoft Spokesman said:
Microsoft offers downgrade rights as part of some Windows Vista licenses, including Windows Vista Business purchased through the OEM channel. Some customers may choose or need to obtain media or installation services from third parties to install the downgrade version."
Funny, I found it to be actually impossible to "downgrade" to XP, 2K or 98 when I looked around for my new computer.

Vista work fine for me and is much easier to use. With XP I had no idea what I was fucking doing but Vista is a bit more accessible. You still need a degree in ICT to work XP and Vista's core parts but Vista gets me a whole lot further.

The whole thing is just herd behaviour. Some urban shut in nerd took a personal vendetta on Vista and so every1 is following the trend. However I do have to ask Bill Gates to leap into a pit of broken glass, acid and pit-bulls for FORCING Vista on us.

XP required a lot of power back when it was first released. I remember people saying "who needs 512MB of RAM!? That's insane!"

Face it, XP is getting old. Vista is a good OS, just that, like it was mentioned, manufacturers didn't release Vista drivers fast enough and people got scared that nothing will work on the OS. I love my Vista OS and haven't had a problem with it.

But it doesn't matter anyway. Windows 7 is right around the corner and people will come over saying it's the next best OS over XP when in fact it's just Vista with better coding. It still will require modern day specs, so be prepared for new hardware, new programs, etc.

Has anyone actually noticed that the picture given shows that the dreaded BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH needs user permission to be used?
Well, on Vista's part, that must be a great thing XD

But apart from that, I don't really like Vista. It does have some really good pros, and some really bad cons, but that's the same with everything, really. I live by XP, purely because I'm used to it, and upgrading the Vista would probably eat what little memory I have on this crappy tower. And thinking about it, I don't have enough memory to house it anyway XD

I have 1gb of RAM on what is known as my 'Gaming PC'...I don't need to tell you why I hate Vista.

And yes, Vista does suck when they force it pre-installed on every sub-par computer because these morons don't understand you need to stay the fuck away from it if you don't have more than two gigabytes of RAM.

WOW, $60, lets go pay thousands to hire lawyers and pay for a lawsuit to get back $60.
I guess this is less about the money and more about a principal...

There's nothing wrong with Vista at all, I find that it is just as, if not more stable than XP. It is true that at the start there are compatiblility issues here and there, but they can be fixed easily after taking a few moments to find and update the drivers.

I think the main issue most people have with Vista is its memory hogging for cosmetic purposes. Personally my PC can handle it and it looks great compare to XP, but for some people it is just not worth the performance downgrade.

i just wanted to pop in here really quick and add my 2 more cents.

i spent $200 dollars on a copy of Vista for my laptop, another $30 for some idiot at Best Buy to install it, and untold hours lost trying to find drivers for my devices.

i had vista on my laptop for about 3 hours and promptly took it back to best buy to have them uninstall it. when the technician asked me why i wanted a downgrade, i had only to say 2 words to him, "Vista Sucks". i dont see why people are stroking Vista's ego so much. it blows compared to XP. XPs a lot more stable, more actual tech support for major problems.

To all OS haters, I would like to give you this quote: "A tool is only as useful as the person behind it."

Well, I hope they have fun losing their money. I also hope they win, maybe the next Xbox won't have so many bugs, as well as the next operating system.

By all means, Vista became a very capable OS after SP1. It's just that Linux is more windows compatible than Vista.
