I don't think gender makes any shred of difference in swearing.
I try and keep myself from swearing around or in front of children because I think that if they start swearing at a young age, the words lose weight. If they are brought up thinking it is bad, when they do start swearing a ton it will feel more important when they do. Also i do not think it is fair for me to impede on the parenting strategies of others. If they do not want their kids to swear I shouldn't encourage it. In public I do not take chances with it.

I swear, I used to all the time, but I've toned it down since, I'd rather someone swear (regardless of gender) then do what one of my pain in the arse housemates does and actually bleeps themself, I'm not fucking kidding, she actually says 'motherbleep', because apparently 'it stops [her] swearing in front of [her] dad' yet, next thing I know, shes swearing her head off at nothing, and it's like, make your damn mind up!

Oh, also, when a girl says 'you cant say c***, you dont have one' I remember wathcing Never Mind The Buzzcocks, and Simon Amstell countered with, 'well you dont have an umbrella, so you cant say that'

Rest assured, I have never once restrained myself from expletive on account of my gender, because gender conformity is fucking stupid. :)
Well this post brought a smile to my face. :D

I have no problem with swearing. I swear all the fuckin' time. My problem is with people, regardless of gender, who can't communicate or express themselves further than George Carlin's Seven Dirty Words.

I'm used to girls doing it. But on average, the girls I know swear much less than the guys I know. Like my best mate since I was five years old, who adds "Fuckin'." onto the end of most of his sentences. Fuckin'.

I don't swear myself because I find that it fails to express my feelings properly. If I swear, just to see how it sounds, it sounds pretty humorous, so I just don't. I never really have.

My girlfriend swears and I think it's really cute, and can't help but smile when she does.

I don't think that swearing makes a girl seem nicer or meaner. I'd prefer if they don't swear, just to have that lady-like feeling, but it doesn't matter to me at all.

I swear all the time, and nobody seems shocked about it. They don't ask me why I haven't got my frilly pink dress on today, or why I haven't got my parasol and lace gloves; females aren't that feminine anymore, goes without saying.
But, yeah. I refuse to brag about being female, and telling everyone I'm female, and bragging about 'boyish' things I do. I'm female, I swear, so what?! It's ridiculous to think that if a girl does something that naturally, only boys can do, e.g. play CoD, then it's absolutely shocking. It really does piss me off...

I find her amusing and fair in her reviews. She's not just some idiotic eye-candy. And she's better than some of the other video series' going on.
Umm...look at what she's wearing in the promo pic, and look at what she's wearing during the videos...let's not forget that she has an absolutely terrible delivery [can we not rehearse our vids before we release them; or at least have multiple takes, expertly woven together to have a high-quality end result?].

Better than some of the other video series? Which ones, in particular, is Foiles Top Five better than? Even daily drop is better than Top Five, even if only for the interesting indy music they play.

Eye Candy. That's its only value.
Ok, I should stress the part about *idiotic* eyecandy. Eyecandy? Yes. Stupid? No, not really. I was honestly expecting her videos to be what hot girls are in gaming, no matter the title, so when 5 outa 6 people on the first videos were guys, I kinda thought not.

Honestly, I find anything except for MovieBob and Yahtzee quite unentertaining. Wow, some guys talking over a cutscene I might actually want to watch without them fucking speaking or some other person dropping an item every weak. Because that hasn't been done on Brainiac and... well several other channels already.

I mean, I swear a lot and everyone comments on it, why shouldn't girls be able to swear? To be fair, they don't seem to swear as much normally but IDK if that's natural or forced for the people I know.

You can have your opinion on whether or not her opinions and observations are stupid, that's your right. I personally find them lacking in the brains department. I'm even dubious as to whether she writes the material herself...usually an actress delivers words that came from her own mind better than a coffee ***** subbing for the news anchor while reading from the teleprompter.

In any case, that's not why I replied. The reason I replied is, funnily enough, to point out that the guy who does the Daily Drop is Graham Stark...who is also one of the guys MST3K'ing in Unskippable. Just thought you might find that funny.

I try not to swear when i'm around people who don't, because they're just nice people, but when I do, it's very powerful.

Well the majority of the people at my university that are of a similar age swear all the time. I'm not sure some of them can get through a sentence without one profanity of some kind. And it's both genders, so really I'm somewhat saturated by it.

I go to mostly male school for construction management, and am the only female in class. One time in class, I asked a classmate if I was going to have to "choke a *****," and for some reason they thought it was hilarious.

I think it's because I caught them off guard, I'm normally straight laced.
