Women: your view on facial hair on men.

i am just wondering what you think about facial hair, as i currently have (an awesome) mustache.

I have seen both sides of the coin with my friends: saw a friend shave his facial hair off, when he went into a relationship, and i've seem friends, with a relatively full beard in a relationship.

I'm a woman... so well at least there is one woman here

Anyway on the note of facial hair on men, I like it to a certain extent. Stubble is nice, so is a short beard. Personally not a fan of the long, waist-length beards though.

Doesn't bother me. Beards, mustaches, goatees, chops, none; as long as he's happy with how he looks and has at least some moderate hygiene and grooming practices to keep everything tidy. Dare I say it, sometimes it can look downright shmexy.

Springboarding off of this, my fiancee loves my beard, mostly because I groom it regularly. I do so mostly because as OCD, I need maintenance tasks to keep from being a nervous wreck, but making my lady happy is a great plus.

Personally, I draw the line at fake mustaches when it comes to women.

Maybe a small real one if I'm utterly shitfaced.

I read a study somewhere that said that woman found men clean shaven to be more attractive, while men viewed other men with facial hair with more respect.

So the ultimate question is: Would you rather be attractive or respected?

Well, as a bi guy I've kissed both men and women, and in my experience I've hated when guys have shaved then let a bit of stubble grow, because it's hard and scratchy to be rubbing your vhin against. But short beards aren't a problem and feel quite nice. As for the girls, when they've commented on my own facial hair, they've generally been okay with it, and actually complimented me on it, but then again I tend to have a very short beard/moustache that is more than stubble (so not scratchy) but not very full or thick. Otherwise I keep clean shaven for work, depending on the days I'm doing overtime...

Smash is right and the presence of three girls doesn't change that fact.

Anyway I have a short beard, stubble is scratchy and makes you look like you are slacking in hygiene and a long beard just makes you creepy, you gotta walk the line between both for any success.

Studies say that generally men find other guys with beard to be more deserving of respect and women show more fear or hesitation around them. It really depends on the girl though, some love them, some don't. What it comes down to is you, beard or not, the chick cares about you. Then the beard comes in handy because it gives her something to talk about, something she physically can't have, having ladies stroke your beard is pretty fantastic. Anyone whoever said a beard is scratchy is full of crap, stubble is scratchy, my beard is as soft as a cute-kitten.jpg.

EDIT: Oh and only older men (like 35 and up) can pull off just a mustache by itself but you need to have a mustache with a beard because it looks weird without it.
