A bit old news, no?

The microwaves heat up the brain at the side you hold you cellphone which causes all the bad mumbojumbo.
Sleeping with the cellphone near you is bad too, and if you're a male and would like to keep the dude downstairs up and running it is advised not to keep your cellphone in your front pockets (or any pockets in your pants, really). It has been on Belgian news numerous times.

Apparently they found out by searching for people with that condition and looking at their cellphone usage.

Also some antibiotic-producer did some "extensive research" to create a chip that you can stick on your cellphone and it would greatly reduce the bad waves bombarding your brains your phone doesn't even need when calling. Big commercials and on the day of release a bunch of scientists on TV were laughing at it because it reduced all waves which resulted in the cellphone increasing them to get a decent connection which then brought them to the conclusion "It doesn't do anything besides draining the battery a bit faster."

They then said you can get a refund and the worried people should just get a headset.

Yeah it will give you cancer, if you keep it glued to your ear twenty four hours a day for forty years. Stuff like this is completely overblown.

You just picked up on this? These rumours have been around for years. It only has those effects if you excessively use them.
Ya the key word is rumors. This is a 10 year, 30 million dollar study that confirms these rumors. There are also rumors that we have never landed on the moon. Experimental studies are there to make conclusion and either verify or reject hypothesis'. So saying that there have been rumors for a few years doesn't really mean anything.
Studies can be made to say anything you want.

pff, nobody puts there phones to their heads anymore.

We all use headsets, or are to busy twittering to have people to call.

1) This is a news story about a study, not the actual study
2) This is a ten-year longitudinal study, cell phone technology has changed alot in the past ten years
3) Without knowing any of the details of the study, we have know way of knowing the exact results as to how the study was conducted and the data compiled and analyzed
4) Correlation does not equal Causation

Yes-- In fact, if you click the link at the bottom of the article cited, apparently not only does global warming exist, but it's caused by DOGS!

Link please. A scientific one would be nice instead of a news article. Because every single study I have ever seen that was scientific and credible says the link just does not exist.

I never use my mobile, I just have it with me a lot.

Nice to know that I'm safe :)
Not at all - when I was studying for my Biochemistry degree there was research that proved having a phone in your pocket caused testicular/ovarian cancer, and keeping it in the back pocket could cause a variety of rectal cancers.

Interestingly enough, on the subject of cancers, did you know that breathing causes cancer? No, I'm serious - by taking in oxygen you are oxidating the cells within your lungs (creating free radicals etc). If a person lived long enough they would eventually develop lung cancer just from breathing in air. Essentially, one vital ingredient need to live is cancerous.

Many of those studies are funded by cellphone companies, so naturally they don't show any link. It was one of the biggest problems to our research, that all the other sources we had to draw on were clearly biased.

Sorry but last time i visited my physics class I learned that Radio-waves are not ionizing radiation... they simple are too "Fat" to break an electron or add one...

And also everyone who has breathen oxygen have died.

I stick strictly to text messaging.

I think it'll work out better for me somehow.
