THE TOP AMERICAN CARTOONS OF ALL TIME
by Code-d

Made this list after tons of research and decision.
How does one get on the list
1-The cartoon holds up even if older.
2-This is the best version of this franchise to recommend.
3-uniqueness/originality
4-Has substance, either of plots, animation or comedy

notes
+The top 10 are ranked as my personal picks above the others, the rest are not ranked.
+I would like to know your top 10 as well.

Prepare for the incoming MLP posts.

In any case, I don't have much of a list. I haven't really watched a lot of American cartoons in my life.

So I guess I've gotta say, like, Kim Possible or something. I don't have a lot to choose from.
Nah, MLP is better than Kim Possible.

Only thing I'd add is Clone High. Old MTV cartoon about clones of famous people going to high school together. Abe Lincoln as the awkward 16 hero, Gandhi the ADD addled sidekick, and Joan of Arc as a gothic love interest. God I loved that show... Wesley.

Well, I'd also add the old FOX Kids Spider-man cartoon. It probably doesn't hold up but I really enjoyed it back in the day.

You put Legend of Korra ahead of Avatar: Last Airbender?
Don't make me laugh.

Anyway; Batman Beyond. Best.

I also agree with the comment lamenting the lack of Rugrats, and Dexter's Lab being in the "unranked" portion of the list makes me sad.

Otherwise, I've enjoyed plenty of those cartoons and not watched plenty of them as well. Apart from Batman: The Animated Series though, I'm not sure I would agree with any of your ranked ones.

I can't believe there's no Pinky and the Brain or Animaniacs anywhere on the ranked list. I love the Freakazoid, bit those two outrank it in my books. Also, your absolute lack of Futurama makes me sad.

Can't really add much else outside of Dexter and Courage. Also, Sealab 2012 was a pretty funny show when the original Murphy was still alive.

I'm sorry, you seem to have forgotten one small contender...

THE WARNER BROTHERS CARTOONS!

Some of the most memorable animated characters ever, with hysterically funny writing for both adults and kids alike and you didn't even mention them... Maybe this is why Marvin the Martian wants to blow up the planet...

I am disappointed at the lack of Ed, Edd and Eddy.
very ugly and very stupid, would never recommend to someone and left it off purposefully.

I watched those all the time but theyre really old and hard to watch now, same for hannah-barbera and there was no definitive one i could list.

I meant to add futurama but i guess i left it off but courage no, sealab no.
And the ranked one are just what i liked better but you can rank these however.

Man I do miss Mission Hill.
I get the distinct feeling it was a hipster show but I loved it.

I just love the absurdity of the Coyote and Road Runner bits, same with Tom'n Jerry.

I mean, I love Futurama and Dexter's lab a whole bunch, but Tom's screams, man...

They get every time.

I'm awful person.

All your shows are puny next to Xaolin showdown and the original Pokemon.

I watched those on saturday mornings while eating oreo cereal. Good times.
